Jhanu Barua’s ‘Har Pal’ turned out to be a wonderful experience for Isha Koppikar and , as both of them found a new friend in each other. The film too portrays both of them as close friends on-screen.

Come January, Aishwarya Rai and John Abraham will begin shooting for their first-ever romantic film together.

Creating this casting coup is director Sriram Raghavan , who has made gritty thrillers like Ek Haseena Thi and Johnny Gaddaar . With his next film for Rohan Sippy , Raghavan is departing from his set style and is trying his hand at making a romantic movie.

But a stereotypical love story it won’t be. Ash and John won’t play glamourous characters dressed up to the nines in designer outfits. They would play simple, real, non-glamourous characters that any man or woman on the street can relate to.

In Raghavan’s own words: “It’s a very true-to-life story, with a touch of incredulity.”

One commercial element Raghavan is now surrendering to is – songs. Earlier, songs have played only in the background in Raghavan’s films. That’s the way he liked it. Now, he is ready to take on, what he calls, “the challenge” of making the actors lip-sync to the songs.

Aishwarya will wrap up her prior commitments by the end of this year and will begin shooting for the film from January. John has given his dates till February. Raghavan is hopeful that he will shoot at least two-third of the film in this time.

However, there is one thing both Raghavan and producer Rohan Sippy are stuck at – the title of the film. Though they have zeroed in on a couple of names, the title has still not been finalized. As soon as it is decided, music trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy will get into action and compose the title song.

Neeraj Pathak has signed in Deepal Shaw for his film, ‘Right Ya Wrong’. The film also stars Sunny Deol, Konkana Sen Sharma, Irfaan Khan, Isha Koppikar, Kirron Kher, Aryan Vaid and Anjan Srivastava.

Those who’ve heard the soundtrack of Welcome know that the lyrics of the title song go, “Welcome, Welcome To The Party, Welcome….”
 
But on watching the promos on television, one sees the inclusion of the word Christmas: “Welcome, Welcome To The Christmas Party, Welcome….”
 
It was Akshay Kumar’s idea to orient the fun-filled number towards the Christmas season when this film is appropriately releasing. After this was discussed with director Aneez Bazmee and producer Firoz Nadiadwala, Wajid of Sajid-Wajid was asked to come in and make the minor addition of Christmas, which has been retained for the film’s on-air promotion and in the final print as well!
 
Coincidentally, the Insha Allah song in the film has also released on air weeks before Eid, on which day the film releases in cinemas worldwide.
 
Remarks Akshay, “Welcome is a film about fun, frolic and laughter. It’s a film about celebration and we agreed that it would be nice to incorporate the Christmas angle in the title track to make it even more topical and relevant to the festive season.”
