Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif have scooped the cream among the glut of reality tv shows - the super-hit Namastey London duo will be the mega attractions on the mega final of Sony TV’s hugely popular dance show, Jhalak Dikhla Ja, to promote their highly anticipated comedy, Welcome, releasing on Thursday, December 20.
 
The mega final of JDJ is being telecast on Saturday, 15th December.
 
Katrina will make her entry first and be joined by Akshay who will appear after her and felicitate the winner at the end.
 
Considering Welcome is the biggest Christmas release for families, a Santa Claus is likely to accompany Akshay. The latter will dance to the title track of Welcome, though much of what he will be doing on the show is being held back as a big surprise!

In all his films, Akshay Kumar is seen as the macho man rescuing his women from distress! But in his next comedy, “Welcome”, the situation stands reversed, all in a comic sense, of course!

According to sources, in a scene in the first half of the film, one can see Katrina Kaif’s character (Sanjana) rescuing Akshay’s character (Rajiv) from a fire! Katrina is seen to be carrying Akshay on her shoulders!

When Katrina heard that she would have to lift Akshay, she froze, only to be consoled that it would be taken care of by the cables!

Akshay Kumar laughs out loud when we ask him about the scene, “It’s a hilarious scene. I won’t say much about it except that it’s nice to be rescued and carried off by a beautiful woman. Who wouldn’t want to be in my shoes?!”

This scene, and most certainly, the rest of “Welcome” will be worth a definite watch, when it releases in cinemas on Thursday December 20. It is an Indian Films release through Studio 18.
