Working in Rituparno Ghosh’s next Bengali film has been like a homecoming for Bipasha Basu .

At last, the Bengali belle is working in a film that takes her to her roots. Bipasha plays the leading role of a woman with conflicting emotions in Ghosh’s Bengali film ‘Shob Choritri Kalponik’, which Bips has been shooting in Kolkata.

The film has Bipasha in a completely different makeover. She will be seen wearing Bengali cotton saris: tussar, dhakai and donekhali. In fact, a few days back, Bipasha’s dad dropped by on the film’s sets and was completely bowled over to see how beautiful Bipasha looked in traditional Bengali saris.

Apart from the get-up, Bipasha speaks chase Bengali in the film. However, she is having minor troubles getting the accent and pronunciation right.

Bipasha says her Bengali has a Hindi accent but the film’s crew keeps correcting her whenever she fumbles.

While working in the film, the actress has also been relishing the popular Bengali dishes like Mishti Doi, rosogollas and chamcham.

Signing off, Bipasha says working in ‘Shob Choritri Kalponik’ has been a return to her roots.
