Rani Mukherjee is all set to marry Aditya Chopra , now that he has filed for divorce.The divorce between Aditya and Payal Khanna will be final in May and that is when the director is all set to tie the knot with Rani.

In the meantime, Aditya and Payal are living out the mandatory six-month separation period.
“Once the divorce is signed, both Rani and Adi are eager to tie the knot,” reveals a close family friend.

“Though there have been rumours that they are already engaged, that is all untrue. Adi was very particular about getting the divorce first before formalising anything else,” he says.
Once all the legalities of the divorce are settled, the couple plans to have a grand wedding in Mumbai.

But right now, Aditya still has to deal with his father Yash Chopra and mom Pamela who are still said to be head over heels so much in love with Payal, that they have refused to accept Rani.
Sources close to the family reveal that the situation had become so bad that Chopra senior had asked his son to walk away from the Rs 1,000 crore Yashraj Films empire, which Aditya has played huge part in building.

On the other hand, Payal was gifted a plush bungalow in Khar, Mumbai, by her in-laws and after the divorce she will get Rs 25 crore as alimony.Presently, Aditya is reportedly staying in a five star hotel and Rani moved into her own apartment at Janaki Kutir because it’s not just the Chopras who disapprove of their son’s alliance, Rani’s parents aren’t thrilled with it either.

“Even Rani’s parents are not very happy about the alliance,” says a prominent director and a close friend of the actress.“That’s why Rani had to move out.” Months back, the news of their engagement has hit the headlines but then both of them declared it baseless.

Finally, Aditya and Rani will tie into matrimonial knot soon after the settlement of his divorce in May.

Huma Khan, who played the role of a milkmaid in hit Hindi movie Maine Pyar Kiya, has been arrested in Mumbai for allegedly abetting a person accused of kidnapping and raping a minor.

Huma appeared in a string of C-grade films in the late 80s and 90s. She was seen in many horror films made by the Ramsay brothers—roles that often had her playing ghosts in white sarees.

Huma, who has disappeared from films for sometime now, has been sent to five-day judicial custody after being charged with the Mira Road police.

Sanjay Dutt on Wednesday withdraw his marriage declaration, filed with Manyata, before the South Goa Sub Registrar.The couple filed an application before the Salcete Sub-Registrar saying they do not wish to solemnise their marriage under the Portuguese Civil Code, 1867.

They said the documents they had annexed at the time of marriage should be treated as withdrawn and cancelled from all legal effects. Sanjay and Manyata now want to register their marriage under special Marriage Act of 1954. The registered marriage of February 7 was dogged by controversies following doubts over how Manyata could obtain a residence certificate in Goa.

South Goa district administration on Monday had issued showcause notice to Manyata seeking clarification as to why her residence certificate, submitted in connection with her court marriage, should not be cancelled

Saif and Kareena have been signed on for Karan Johar’s next production which will be directed by Renzil D’souza. Director Renzil who wrote the script of hit film Rang De Basanti will be directing this film for Karan Johar. Kareena confirms that she will be doing Karan’s film; she says “Yes, I will be doing Renzil’s film which is being produced by Karan. I am paired opposite Saif in the film and I have a very impactful role.” The film is slated to go on the floors in October and will be shot in London.
