A local tabloid recently reported that Mallika Sherawat will star in Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming film, Contract. However, the truth is that the actress is not a part of the film — she is just a part of some clever publicity.

Apparently, Mallika only appears in a poster in the film. Her poster is hung on a mirror, where an associate of a Malaysia-based don is fantasising about her.

So if you’re going to watch Contract, don’t go expecting Mallika in the film. You will have to wait for Ugly Aur Pagli to catch her on screen.

The terrible weather in Ooty has one pleasant surprise in store for Katrina Kaif. She will be celebrating her birthday (July 16) in Mumbai along with boyfriend Salman Khan. Initially, Salman was planning to fly down to Ooty on her special day. Says a source, “Salman had planned to take off a couple of days from the shooting of 10 Ka Dum and spend time with Kat in Ooty on her birthday. But now that the schedule is cancelled, Salman and Kat will be celebrating her birthday in Mumbai.

Katrina, who returned to Mumbai on Monday night confirms, “There was a lot of wind and rain in Ooty and the shooting was getting disrupted.” Though Katrina feels birthdays are for children to celebrate she’s happy to be in Mumbai and not Ooty.

“I am not sure if I will have a birthday party like last year as I don’t like parties. Ideally, I’d like to go off for a couple of days to somewhere like Dubai as that’s one of my favourite holiday destinations.” Quiz her about Sallu’s presence on her birthday and Katrina says that she doesn’t like to talk on her personal life. “That’s why I can never blog (like Sallu) as I don’t like sharing my personal thoughts. My blogs would be empty.”

Though boyfriend Sallu will be there to hold Kat’s hand on her birthday, her sisters and mom might not be there. “Mom was with me at the London Zee awards and at IIFA. I was lucky to have her there as I was very unwell and on heavy medication. I had a viral and was burning up from inside but seeing mom’s smile and her pride made it all worthwhile.”

Katrina is planning to buy her “dream home” soon. “Being a Cancerean I love to be near water and I had always wanted to buy sea facing property. Unfortunately, my Bandra house is not sea-facing but I hope I will get my dream flat soon.”

In spite of her hectic schedule Katrina finds time to watch Salman’s TV show on Sony, 10 Ka Dum, from time to time. “It’s a satisfying show, fun and cool. In fact, I knew of the American show as one of my sisters, Melissa, who is intellectual and studious, often plays that version in our hotel room.”

Abhishek Bachchan who had a fling with Rani Mukerji is now a happily married man. His gorgeous wife Aishwarya Rai tries to show the public that she is blessed with a lovable hubby and parent in laws.  

In a recent interview with Rani Mukerji, she diplomatically disclosed that she was in love with Abhishek still. But latter on covered her statement by saying that she was in love with his work, his dedication and Blah Blah Blah…… With a series of love failures, one can easily make out that Rani may now out for hibernation.  

She clarified that she was in good terms with her own parents and also brushed out the media rumors aside which disclosed that she will opt for a bachelor life from now on like Sushmita Sen.  

She even reported that she will marry her dream man when she thinks that she has found out the right person.

Amitabh Bachchan, who is said to be the legend of Indian Hindi cinema, has finally disclosed his fears. Recently on the music release function of Singh is Kinng when Salman walked in with her beau Katrina, Amitabh soon jumped on to his legs and walked away without even informing the cast and crew of Singh is Kinng.  

Salman’s and Aishwarya’s affair is still haunting big B till date and this is said to be the reason for his exit. It is reported that Amitabh agreed to come to the function of the music release on the basis that he will be only chief guest for the functions. But Vipul Shah who is the director of this film also welcomed Salman when he wanted to accompany his beau Katrina who happens to be the female lead in this film. 

Seeing this Amitabh made a quick exist. Actually he was to host the function and also had to release the music. But this entire program was done by Sallu Bhai. When Vipul called to Amitabh, the old man tried to dominate him. But Vipul hinted that now the time of the old man has gone and if he wishes to mingle with the young blood can come on.  

But Amitabh was afraid of Salman and so made a quick exit. Aishwarya Rai marriage with Abhishek has made Amitabh a hated person in the film industry.  

Will this mess end up in a happy ending; all this will be known as time passes?
