Now its Soha’s turn to wear bikini
While we all know that Soha Ali Khan has taken exceptionally well to, bhabhi, Kareena Kapoor, we had no idea that she would intend to walk in her foot steps so soon. The demure girl-next-door will be soon seen in a bikini in her next project. Rumoured to be a Kunal Deshmukh venture, the film will have Emraan Hashmi in the lead.
Though this is not the first time that she decided to shed her sedate look, this time she has no support from mommy. The last time she decided to don a revealing outfit was for a photo shoot for a popular magazine. According to reports, her mother, Sharmila Tagore was mighty impressed by her daring daughter’s image makeover. Of course, elder brother, Saif Ali Khan had his reservations even then. But this time, neither of them seems to have approved of her choice of film or the decision to don a bikini.
Although Soha’s performance always gets noticed in whatever little films she does, it hasn’t yet made a big enough impact to get her in the list of saleable stars. No wonder then that she’s always in the news for her affairs and link ups. Initially, she was linked-up with her Aahsita Aahista co-star, Abhay Deol. Then came Rang De Basanti and she got paired opposite, Siddharth. He even divorced his wife since the affair started. Of course, neither of the two involved admits to seeing each other. Now, if only Sharmila’s little one decided to stay in the news for her work and not her alleged link-ups.
Preity Zinta is best contender to play Sonia Gandhi
From being one of the top notch actresses of B-town to the powerful business woman heading the Mohali cricket team, Preity Zinta, the bold and beautiful lass, now appears to be one of the top contenders to play the role of one of the most powerful political figure of our times; Italian born Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
According to reports, the gutsy beauty is amongst the few short listed to play the role of Sonia Gandhi in a film based on her life to be directed by Jagmohan Mundhra.
Speaking to a news daily, Mundra said, “Of all the Bollywood stars, it’s Preity who comes closest to looking like Sonia Gandhi.” The director, who in fact met up with the actress last week also revealed that he had spoken to Preity about the role and she seemed to be very upbeat about the idea.
The director is reportedly also looking out for an Italian actress and has even finalised the sizzling Italian hotie Monica Balluchi to play Sonia’s older part, but is still unable to zero upon an actress who can essay the role of the young Mrs Gandhi.
Though nothing has been finalised just as yet as Mundra still has his thinking cap on amid reports suggesting that Zinta is on board and the official announcement will soon follow.
The story that goes to depict Sonia Gandhi life from age 18 to 58 years follows the destiny of a young girl in love, who comes to India, faces intense criticism for her foreign lineage but sets out to rule the hearts of billions across the globe.
Well, with the other leading ladies busy setting the screen on fire with their oomph and bodylicious moves, Zinta is looking to doing something that’s ‘special’ as she tops the queue to play the dignified politician.
