Shilpa’s real name is ‘Ashwini Shetty’
It is something that none except Shilpa Shetty ’s family and very close friends knew. But now the secret is out.
No, it’s not her wedding date. Neither is it about any new man in her life. But it is Shilpa’s little personal secret that was hidden until now. The leggy lass’s real name is not Shilpa. It’s Ashwini.
Ashwini Shetty is how Shilpa is named on legal documents like passport or election card.
Speaking to a news daily, Shilpa has admitted that her real name is Ashwini. The actress also revealed that her name was changed for numerological reasons when she was just a teenager.
However the actress added that she is not used to being called Ashwini and loves Shilpa as her name.
Presently Shilpa is hosting the second season of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ where she was very cordial towards Jade Goody (her tormentor from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’) and expressed her shock and dismay when Goody bowed out of the reality show after being diagnosed with cancer.

Sexy actress Priyanka Chopra is buzzing after shooting in minimal clothes for Karan Johar’s Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham starrer Dostana.
In the film, which is about a ‘gay couple’, Priyanka will be seen in sexy swimwear alongside revealing lingerie. Talking about this, Priyanka says, “The swimsuit was picked up in Miami. It was really small… itsy-bitsy. So we picked up two and Prasad (designer Manish Malhotra’s tailor), sewed them together to make one-piece.”
The colour of the swimsuit is gold, which was chosen to match the dusky tones of Priyanka. Not only that, but Priyanka had to work out to get into the suit as she was a little over-weight.
Apart from Priyanka in sexy dresses, the film will also see Shilpa Shetty in her most daring expose yet. Dostana releases later this year.
