“There’s only one live-in relationship in my life. The one I share with my daughter, Renee,” said Sushmita Sen, who is on the threshold of her 33rd birthday. Renee, incidentally, just turned nine. Finding a soul mate is not an issue any more, today it’s adoptive daughter Renee whose concerns matter more than anything else. But Sushmita dislikes Renee being called her adopted daughter. “We two girls, mother and daughter, are a part of one whole complete and self dependent unit. We don’t need a third person to make our bonding better or stronger,” said the former Miss Universe.

The men in Sushmita’s life have always taken to Renee. Men who have moved on, or been asked to move on, have continued to care for Renee independent of their severed relationship with the mother. Sushmita laughed, “Why do I seem to be the one who has moved on, while the men in my life continue to hold on to the lapels of the relationship? I don’t hold any grudges. I don’t even hold on to the past. I let time heal all wounds within me and hope that one day those who hold grudges against me will also be freed of the baggage of the past.”

Amrita Rao will be making this Eid special for artist M F Husain, as she would be joining him for the Eid celebration in Dubai.

A visibly excited Amirta says, “Yes, it’s true he has invited me. It will be lovely to celebrate Eid with Husain Saab.”

A friend of Amrita says, “Husain has been reading up stuff on the actress and her role in her latest film Welcome to Sajjanpur. He wants to watch the film together with Amrita in Dubai.”

Genelia D’Souza, Imran Khan’s petite and perky co-star in “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na”, brushes off rumours of any relationship with Riteish Deshmukh with a “we’re just friends.”

Genelia teamed up with Riteish for her first Hindi film “Tujhe Meri Kasam” and they were seen together once again in “Masti”. While “Tujhe Meri Kasam” bit the dust at the box office, “Masti” hit bull’s eye. But the film’s success didn’t help much in shaping her career.

“I’m very much single. Riteish is a friend. But that’s it. I’ve no idea where these rumours come from. We’re both very busy. When we occasionally meet up, we’re normal with each other, not the least selfconscious about what’s written about us. I’m very new to all this. I’ve done two films with Riteish - ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ and ‘Masti’,” Genelia told reporters.

The actress forayed into showbiz with Amitabh Bachchan as her co-star.

“I did a Parker pen ad with him when I was still a kid. It seems I’ve been acting forever. I started young, yes. In 2003, I had three releases in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Strangely acting was never an option. That ad was directed by Mansoor Khan. He kept me in mind for ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’, and here I am,” she said.

It seems like the media has been following Monica Bedi’s every move ever since her eviction from reality show Bigg Boss. But the actress is taking cautious steps this time and doing all the right things to get her career back on track. One of those things has been an exclusive photo-shoot for ZoOm. Monica recently posed exclusively for ZoOm in her best attire and make-up and looked happy to be a part of showbiz again. “Yes, I’m back to work after eight long years. I get to face the camera once again, thanks to Bigg Boss. The show has really made a difference in my life,” she said.

Considering the ups and downs she’s gone through and her prolonged absence from the world of entertainment, was she a little rusty and conscious facing the camera again? “I love doing photo-shoots. I get to wear great clothes. I get to learn what suits me and what doesn’t, different camera angles, etc. And that’s very important for me,” Monica said. Well, since she has a lot to thank Bigg Boss for, what would she like to say about the show’s most entertaining inmate? Rahul Mahajan was seen talking to the cameras and expressing his grief at Monica’s eviction. Her comments? “The whole Rahul thing kind of embarrasses me. He’s a little crazy. He’s just naughty and likes to fool around like that. I miss not just him but everyone from the house,” she said.

Aishwarya Bachchan is currently wrapping her Robot film shoot in hurry to arrive back in India, just to be with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan on October 1st for his film Drona’s premiere in Mumbai.

Confirming us the news, Aish’s secretary Hari Singh said, “Aishwarya was in Peru till last week for a song shoot of Shankar’s Enthiran (formerly called Robot) starring South Superstar Rajinikanth. Now presently she is shooting for the film in the rain forests of Brazil. She wants to be with Abhishek’s side on his big day on October 1st. She is as excited as him to check him out in his first super hero avatar.”

One can remember, Abhishek making a late entry for Aishwarya’s Jodhaa Akbar premiere held on February 14th at the Imax Multiplex in Wadala, Mumbai. Abhishek was shooting in Jaipur that time for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Dilli 6. He was to reach on time but a flight delay made him arrive at the venue at around 11:30 pm just when the film was about to finish.

Arjun Rampal tickled his funny bone during the shooting of a song from his upcoming flick EMI, director Saurav Kabra shot Arjun when he accidentally showed his middle finger in front of the camera and when the director saw the video he decided to remove the clip fearing Censor Board’s reaction.

Apparently Arjun was supposed to count 3-2-1 on his fingers and that’s when he goofed up, “The dance step was in rhythm with this three-two-one theme, and each finger was being successively reduced. Accidentally Rampal did this. It isn’t something we realized while shooting,” said Kabra.

Kabra adds, “After the scene was shot, we immediately realized this, and thought of the repercussions this would might. So we immediately removed the shot.”

There are one million ads in the newspapers these days with those girls going semi nude with handsome dudes screaming about ‘Spicing up life’.

If you were to ask us, then, we would say that the best way to ‘Spice up your life’ is to go vegetarian! And seconding that will be none other than the gorgeous model Shamita Singha, who has recently shot for the new pro-vegetarian PETA ad.

The resultant of the ad was something that really lives up to the saying of ‘Spice up your life’. If she was not ‘hot’ enough, she lies amidst a pool of red hot chillies ‘covering’ her up!

Shamita said, “I turned vegetarian when I was quite young because I realized that if I really loved animals, I could not eat them. And that meat is not healthy and not good for your body.”
