A special promotional song costing Rs. 6 crore was shot by director Rohit Shetty for Golmaal Returns at the Filmistan Studios in Goregaon, Mumbai.

The song, titled, Tha Karke, features the entire cast and crew of the film that included, Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Amrita Arora, Anjana Sukhani and Celina Jaitley.

One can recollect, Shetty had shot a similar style number with the entire cast of his last film, Sunday and it featured in the film’s opening titles.

The theme of the song is Goan since this Golmaal sequel too is based in Goa just like Golmaal was. The shooting of the song took the team a good 10 days.

The song number was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. The major cost of the song shoot went into the very expensive set specially erected to recreate Goa in Mumbai.

Preity Zinta sizzled in red on the red-carpet of the 33rd Toronto International Film Festival, where her forthcoming film Heaven On Earth was premiered.

The movie is directed by Mira Nair of the Fire, Water, Earth Trilogy fame.

The film revolves around a Punjabi woman, played by Zinta, who moves from India to Canada after marrying an NRI, only to become a victim of domestic violence at the hands of an abusive husband.
It is said to be inspired partly by Roddy Doyle’s novel ‘The Woman who Walked into Doors’ and partly by a woman Mehta met in Edmonton who’d been abused for nine years before leaving her husband and joining the police force,

“It’s about immigration and about domestic violence, but it’s also about home. It isn’t just about India either, these are universal issues. We’re not pointing fingers, we just want people to accept that there are such problems in the world and we need to do something to make it better,” Zinta said.

Mumbai, Bollywood actress and MP Jaya Bachchan has apologised for her alleged “anti-Marathi” utterances after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists went on the rampage here, tearing off posters of films featuring members of the Bachchan family. However, on Tuesday morning, the party refused to accept her apology.

Jaya, speaking to reporters late Monday, apologised and said the comments made by her were completely unintentional and that no one should take them seriously.

The Samjwadi Party MP said: “I am extremely sorry if any of my comments have hurt the sentiments of the people here. It was said casually and without any prejudice.

The fabulous singer has juggled from songs ranging from pop, cabaret, romantic, bhajans to ghazals with great ease. The spark and magic in her voice continuous to enamor and entertain many till date.

Kareena’s ex flame, Shahid Kapur seems to have struck a chord with Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra. The tinsel town is abuzz with stories about the increasing proximity between the two stars.

According to reports, Piggy Chops and Shahid Kapur are bonding big time at the sets of director Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Kaminay’.

Shahid has apparently distanced himself from ‘good friend’ and tennis sensation Sania Mirza. It is also believed that Shahid always found Priyanka attractive even while he was dating Kareena Kapoor. Though the two of have never starred opposite each other before, they did shot a steamy photo shoot, when both were fairly new.

Shahid is evidently vulnerable since he broke off with his ex-sweetheart Bebo and it is alleged that Priyanka’s relationship with Harman is on the rocks and headed towards splitsville.

Another source close to Shahid told a news daily that the actor is no longer an item with Sania Mirza. “Shahid and Priyanka have been getting close ever since Shahid distanced himself from Sania a month ago.” Both PC and Shahid are professional, and hassle-free. Inside reports suggest Priyanka and Shahid got along like a house on fire and are already spending hours just chatting with each other and have the whole unit talking about them.

Coincidently, the ‘good friends’ stay in the same apartment complex, at Versova, and have also been spotted traveling together to shoots. Those who believe no dress, no matter how revealing, can make Vidya Balan look hot, better think twice.

Vidya, who has received flak more often than not for her dressing sense, is out to prove her critics wrong. She already silenced many of them last month by doing a superhot photo-shoot for fashion magazine FHM.

Now, the gorgeous belle is said to have decided to take care of her styling with meticulous dedication. Perhaps that is why Aki Narula was dropped as her designer from Aziz Mirza’s project Kismat Konnection because Ms. Balan was apparently not happy with some of the outfits he gave her.

But despite that incident, Aki Narula harbours no grudge against the actress and sincerely believes that Vidya can look hot and sexy.

“Of course, anyone can be made to look sexy! It’s all about the attitude and the way you carry yourself!” Narula is quoted by a news daily.

Wonder if Aki wants to say that Vidya needs to change the way she carries herself.
