Shilpa Shetty has spoken out against allegations that she is a ‘marriage-breaker’, saying she started a relationship with her fiance Raj Kundra only after he got divorced.

Shilpa, 33, found fame in Britain when she appeared alongside late British reality TV star Jade Goody in Celebrity Big Brother and won the series. She met millionaire Kundra, 34, shortly afterwards.

Kundra was separated when he met Shilpa, but his estranged wife Kavita publicly blamed the actress for the break-up of the marriage.

“It actually made me feel physically ill. To be called a marriage-breaker was the worst thing possible. It brought such shame on to my parents, and I felt so bad for their sake,” the Daily Mail online quoted her as saying.

“To be honest, I think I was in love with Raj from day one but I was in denial. I made it clear to him that our relationship could go no further than friendship until he actually had his divorce,” she added.

Sanjay Dutt’s plea to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections was on Tuesday rejected by the Supreme Court which refused to stay his conviction in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

“We are not inclined to suspend his conviction,” a Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan said.

“It is not a fit case to grant stay of conviction,” the Bench also comprising Justices P Sathasivam and R M Lodha said.

Dutt had been fielded by the Samajwadi Party as its candidate for Lucknow Lok Sabha seat.

The Court said that Sanjay Dutt was convicted for “serious offence” under the Arms Act by a Mumbai TADA Court.

The Bench said that the actor’s case could not be equated with that of BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu whose conviction and sentence in a road rage case was stayed by the apex court to enable him to contest the Amritsar by- elections in 2007.

‘Everyone thinks it’s an art film but it’s not. It’s a beautiful story with an amazing music. ‘Har Pal’ is super commercial,’ Preity told reporters.

Slated for a summer release, the film also stars Shiney Ahuja, Dharmendra and Eesha Koppikhar.

Though the upcoming star doesn’t have a single Hollywood release to her credit the Oscar winning British production Slumdog Millionaire has made everyone’s favourite.

Coming to the list of sexiest women in Hollywood, while Freida ranks fourth in this poll by men’s magazine Details, TV show Friends star, Jennifer Aniston has snagged the top spot.

Transformer’s star Megan Foxx came in a close second while Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bunchen was named the third most sexiest women. Following Freida, is Kim Kardashian at number five.

Aishwarya Rai has declined to be immortalised as a Barbie doll, due to her professional commitments. Since 1994 when Aishwarya won the Miss World title, the Barbie’s manufacturer Mattel has made numerous attempts to make a celebrity doll modelled on the Indian beauty. However, she could never get time for their endeavour, due to her professional commitments, she said.

Yet again on the doll’s 50th anniversary, Aishwarya was approached to appear decked up as a celebrity Barbie.

“Mattel was keen to have the actress walk the ramp on Lakme Fashion Week ‘Barbie dolled up’ in a winning design as Single Likeness Barbie, which would be unveiled and auctioned for a charity of her choice,” said a statement issued by Aishwarya’s spokesperson. However, the actress opted out due to her prior commitments as she did not want to cause inconvenience to the film-makers she was working with by taking time out for the event.
