Shandar Amrohi, scion of the legendary filmmaker Kamaal Amrohi, is locked in a fierce legal battle with his sister Rukhsar and her son Waseem, insinuating that the duo had fraudulently pledged his shares in Mahal Pictures Pvt. Ltd (that owns the renowned Kamaal Amrohi studio) to a company in Pune. The lure in question: business and property valued at over Rs 600 crore!

Able support for Shandar has been forthcoming from his sibling Tazdar Amrohi… and an unlikely, starry supporter: Preity Zinta!

Reportedly, Shandar regards Preity as his “adopted daughter” and is considering bequeathing all his share of the property to her.

Another girl who hasn’t been in the best of spirits is Rani Mukherjee. That damp squib of Dil Bole Haddipa with her home banner, Aditya Chopra hasn’t gone down too well with her and it has made her extra insightful.

Result, the normally sweet girl is loosing it on her staff at the slightest provocation and also has been refusing invitation for awards shows. And now she is looking for roles beside Yash Raj camp.

Legendary filmmaker Kamal Amrohi’s sons – Tajdar and Shandar Amrohi are gearing up for legal battle with a relative over a prime Mumbai property, and are full of praise for actress Preity Zinta for supporting them. They say “she is a blessing in disguise”.

“My brother (Shandar) considers Priety as his daughter. She is a blessing in disguise for us. She is a very strong girl and is fighting for the right cause. God bless her, ” Tajdar told over phone from Mumbai.

Tajdar and Shandar are jointly fighting a legal battle with a kin over the sprawling Kamalistan Studios off the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road. Though media reports say they are at loggerheads with their sister Rukhsar, Tajdar has refused to name anyone. However, others say their fight is with a Pune-based power broker and builder.

“I don’t want to name them right now. But the people I am talking about know who I am pointing towards, ” said Tajdar.

While almost everyone must have watched the much-hyped ‘My Name Is Khan’ by now, Kajol’s beloved hubby Ajay Devgn is apparently too busy to watch wife’s film.

Reports reveal that Ajay has been keeping very busy with his latest release ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?’, which is why he`s been finding it hard to watch ‘My Name is Khan.’ But Ajay’s ignorant behaviour has now begun to annoy the temperamental Kajol, according to reports.

Nevertheless, grapevine has it that Ajay is not too keen to watch ‘MNIK’ because of Shah Rukh, as it is believed that the two are not very fond of each other.

Well, we would just like to announce that ‘My Name Is Khan’ surely deserves to be watched for Kajol’s magnificent performance, if not for anything or anyone else!

The starson Abhishek Bachchan, one of the most sought after stars in Bollywood, washed dishes at the Golden Temple in Amritsar as part of his kar seva. The actor was in Amritsar with his sister Shweta Nanda. They visited three prominent gurdwaras.

“Abhishek did some kar seva by cleaning up the premise, and washing the dishes at the langar (in the Golden Temple). There were two other prominent gurdwaras that they visited,” Amitabh posted on his blog bigb.bigadda.com Thursday. The 67-year-old, whose mother Teji Bachhcan belonged to a Sikh family, is happy to see the religious side of his children.

“It is always such a joy to see children putting their minds to faith and devotion. Nothing would give me greater joy and nothing I believe could be better than their achievement in belief and prayer,” he added.

The action hero Salman Khan, who is shooting for his brother Arbaz Khan`s debut production `Dabang` in Satara district had to be rushed to a hospital during the weekend, after shooting a gruelling sequence which required him to run through fire several times. The scene required Salman to shoot in close proximity with the fire and though everyone insisted on a single shot, the actor took several takes before the scene was canned and ended up breathless because of the smoke.

“Salman wanted the scene to be flawless and ended up getting breathless since he was shooting close to so much fire. He had to be rushed to the hospital after the scene was successfully canned,” said a sources in the film unit. In spite of the doctor`s advice to take rest for the next couple of days Salman went back to shoot for the other scenes the very next day.
