Jostled violently by crowds, she got hurt in the knees and one of her toe nails was ripped off, but ‘Kites’ star Barbara Mori isn’t willing to give up on Bollywood and now wants to do a film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

“I would love to do more Bollywood films. I want to work with Shah Rukh Khan,” Barbara told reporters when asked which actor was on her wishlist after romancing Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan in ‘Kites’.

Accompanied by Hrithik and producer-director Rakesh Roshan, the Mexican actress was at the Great India Place Mall in Noida for the post-release promotion of ‘Kites’.

There was plenty of hooting and whistling as soon as the cast of ‘Kites’ arrived at the mall on the outskirts of Delhi. But this soon gave way to mayhem when fans went berserk trying to get a glimpse of their favourite stars.

A recent research, done by mBit Infotech, a pioneer in VAS Services, revealed that Akon is the most searched and downloaded popular icon/personality in the mobile search and download space. In the Bollywood category, Katrina’s mobile popularity is way ahead of Shahrukh’s as revealed by the research.

The research is based on the searches performed by over 1,20,000 users of mBit in the first quarter of 2010 (Jan – April). The results showed that ‘SEX’ is still the-most-popular-searched Keyword, out of 6730 unique keywords, which accounts to 30% of the total searches performed including words porn, porno, naked etc.

Music is the second most searched for keyword accounting to the 19% of the total searches. Mostly international music icons like Akon, Linkin Park, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Rihanna and Michael Jackson top the list in this category. Also, Sports specially Cricket along with Movies & Videos are the third most searched for category which is 15% of the total searches.

The sexy Latino actress Barbara Mori, back in India for the second time in a month and probably the last time now, feels let down on two counts. One, of course, is the unfavourable public response to her much-awaited film with Hrithik Roshan this weekend; and, the second, is that her dream of visiting the Taj Mahal remains unfulfilled.

Hours after the negative feedback for Kites began rolling in, Barbara pretended to be oblivious of what critics and audiences had to say. She also appeared unaware that the screening of the film had been stopped in Bangalore. For when BT asked where she was going as part of the promotional tour, Barbara mentioned Bangalore along with Delhi and Kolkata.

Friday afternoon, the actress spent visiting multiplexes and theatres across Mumbai to interact with fans. But while the fall in the excitement level was palpable (Kites was one of the most hyped films of all time in Bollywood), Barbara said unconcernedly, “I’m really excited. I’m waiting for the Indian people’s response. The premiere in New York and London was amazing. There were hordes of Indians screaming for Hrithik and me. Let’s see how people here love it.”

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are likely to skip the IIFA Weekend to be held in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo next month. Aishwarya who is back from shooting in Chennai with Rajnikant for “Robot” will travel to Paris in the first week of June.

“She is going for a Longines (international watch brand which the actress promotes) commitment to Paris where she will be attending the French open,” her spokesperson said.

Abhishek’s spokesperson said the actor will be shooting for Abhinay Deo’s “Game” in Istanbul. Abhishek’s father and megastar Amitabh Bachchan is the brand ambassador of IIFA since the event began ten years ago. There are speculations that the Big B too may give the event a miss this year following two incidents of demonstrations by some Tamil groups in Mumbai outside his home to protest against the choice of IIFA venue.

However, Bachchan has not made any statement about his schedule so far. The IIFA is scheduled to be held from June 3 to 5 in Colombo.

Our sources reaveal that, Akshay-Katrina, might have sizzled on the silver screen a lot many times, but this hasn’t stopped Kat from turning down an upcoming film with the hunk. Reports reveal that Katrina recently chose to opt out of Anees Bazmee’s ‘Thank You’, also starring Akshay Kumar, who has also been her lucky mascot. Our sources inform that Katrina turned down the offer politely as she’s already working with Akshay in ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and could not manage two Akshay flicks together.

According to an industry insider, the shooting of ‘Thank You’ is currently going on in Canada and Anees is still trying hard to get Katrina on board. Grapevine has it that the filmmaker sends a representative to meet Katrina almost every day in order to somehow convince the actress to at least make a guest appearance in the film.

‘Thank You’ will also star Sonam Kapoor opposite Bobby Deol. However, now that Kat has declined the offer, the search for Akshay’s leading lady in the venture is still on!

We all know that she was the simple and rather somber girl in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, but Anushka Sharma’s compensating for it in full measure by turning on the heat with her revealing attire in ‘Badmaash Company.’

Close insiders, however, squeal that the Yash Raj Films flick is but a precursor to what follows next.

Reportedly, Anushka has flashed plenty of skin and has gone all out to revv up her sensuality quotient for Nikhil Advani’s ‘Patiala House.’

A close source insists that ‘Patiala House’ is her “hottest film”, as yet.
