Sushmita Sen has landed herself in trouble. Her forthrightness and frank attitude has landed her in a bush of thorns. Fews days back she expressed out her view on “Pre-marital” in a TV interview stating “No Indian has chastity or virginity any more”. These comments over pre-marital sex didn’t go down well with the legal authorities and moral police, who felt that such comments could affect the morality of India.

Her comments have upset moral authorities so much that Madras High Court has issued a notice against her.

The petition sought to prosecute the actress under IPC Sections 292, 292B, 293 and 294 ( all pertaining to obscenity in print, words and songs), 499 and 500 ( which relate to defamation), besides Sections 3, 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act and 2, 3 and 6 of the Young Persons Harmful Publication Act.
