The starson Abhishek Bachchan, one of the most sought after stars in Bollywood, washed dishes at the Golden Temple in Amritsar as part of his kar seva. The actor was in Amritsar with his sister Shweta Nanda. They visited three prominent gurdwaras.

“Abhishek did some kar seva by cleaning up the premise, and washing the dishes at the langar (in the Golden Temple). There were two other prominent gurdwaras that they visited,” Amitabh posted on his blog bigb.bigadda.com Thursday. The 67-year-old, whose mother Teji Bachhcan belonged to a Sikh family, is happy to see the religious side of his children.

“It is always such a joy to see children putting their minds to faith and devotion. Nothing would give me greater joy and nothing I believe could be better than their achievement in belief and prayer,” he added.

It’s time for Abhishek Bachchan to take care of the family business as well as his acting career! News has it that post the Box Office success of Amitabh-Abhishek starrer ‘Paa’, Bachchans’ have decided that AB Corp will co-produce or distribute all the future films starring Jr B.

Interestingly, Saraswati Creations, a part of Bachchans’ in-house banner, has a stake in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ravana.’ The film is co-produced by Mani Ratnam and is being presented by Reliance Big Entertainment.

However, Abbas Mustan’s Bollywood remake of Abhishek starrer ‘The Italian Job’ is produced by Studio 18 and its overseas distribution will be handled by AB Corp. Grapevine has it that the Bachchans have a stake in Goldie Behl’s upcoming film starring Abhi.

It is widely believed that from now onwards, AB Corp will own full or partial stakes in most of the films associated with Abhishek Bachchan.

Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan will ring in the New Year in Goa. A source from the unit says, “Abhishek is shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, in Goa. It has been a month-long schedule. Although it is almost over, the cast and crew will be shooting till the evening of December 31. So Abhishek has decided to bring in New Year in Goa with Ashutosh and others. Aishwarya Rai will be joining him.

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya’s presence in Goa is not too sure as they are both busy. However, Amitabh, he might just join them at the last moment. Deepika Padukone is not present in the current schedule and won’t be a part of the New Year celebration. Since Hrithik and his family will also be in Goa, one might see the Roshans and Bachchans bringing in the year together.” Abhishek’s spokesperson says, “He is not shooting on December 31 but he will be spending the New Year with his family.”

Shooting in Goa enjoying every bit of the sun and the sand, Abhishek Bachchan would have least expected that his joy would know no bounds. Apparently his wife, Aishwarya decided to pay him a surprise visit on her day off from her hectic schedule.

It is noted that she had been busy with back to back shoots for Mani Ratna’s Ravana and S Shankar’s Endhiran starring Rajnikanth. Her commitments with a brand she endorses also kept her busy while she wasn’t shooting and most of her time in the recent past was consumed by excessive travelling that she undertook to meet the requirements of the endorsements. All of this, put together was keeping her away from hubby and they couldn’t get to spend quality time with each other.

Abhishek who was busy shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khele Hum Jee Jaan Se was absolutely delighted to see Aishwarya. She was present on the sets the entire day and when the shoot got over, they headed for a cozy dinner and a nice time with each other. Junior Bachchan kept on running to her in between the shots and kept chatting with her though out the breaks. Even Ashutosh was on cloud nine to see her favorite actress at the sets and showed her around like a perfect guide and took her opinion.

Aishwarya Rai says she is fully convinced that actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan will make a good father in real life because he is so “real and rooted”.

“Everybody has been asking me if Abhishek will be a good pa (father) in connection with the release of our forthcoming production ‘Paa’. I think it’s silly for me to be even making the statement. It’s given – I married the man. So obviously I have the conviction in the husband he is or the father he will be,” Aishwarya, 36, told IANS in an interview here.

Asked about Abhishek’s qualities that would make him a good father, Aishwarya laughed and said: “He is very real, very rooted and very human – which I absolutely relate to. His values are evident for everybody to see. We have known each other for so many years.

“I’ve seen him with his niece and nephew since the time they were babies. He is so great with kids and I’ve seen that for the longest time with (his sister Shweta’s children) Navya (Naveli) and Agastya. I have no doubts on him whatsoever.”

Aishwarya, who will be seen with Abhishek in “Ravana”, was in the capital Monday to launch the Longines PrimaLuna, a new watch range inspired by the moon and galaxy.

It is no great surprise that Aishwarya Rai is recognized as the world’s one of the most beautiful woman. She is even acknowledged as an international star too.

This gorgeous lady has already been to Oprah’s show in 2007 but this year her husband Abhishek Bachchan accompanied her to the show since he too was invited. According to reports the couple had flown to the States last week to shoot for an episode on Oprah.

Aishwarya was her usual diplomatic self when she had come for the show in 2007. This time it remains to be seen which facet of her personality she will expose. Many big actors have opened their hearts out like Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman etc on Oprah Winfrey’s show.

We wonder if we can see the ‘real’ Aishwarya on this show.

Abhishek Bachchan has a special place for Kareena Kapoor in his heart, because she was his first co-actress and they made their debut together in Refugee.

On reacting to Kareena’s statement, that she will always have a special space for Abhi in her heart, Abhishek says, “Bebo has always said that. She was my first heroine and she will always be special for me. She is not only a very sweet girl but also one of the finest actresses. We started our journey together. So she is always special to me. “

Big B and his family were in the capital Monday to watch daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai perform at NDTV’s unveiling of “The Seven Wonders of India”.

Abhishek, clad in a black formal suit, sported a new clean-shaven look. The actor said it was for a new movie “Ravana”, a trilingual film in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi directed by Mani Ratnam.
Wife Aishwarya said she loved him just the way he was. “He is my husband and I love him as he is.”

Abhishek reciprocated saying: “All men dance around their wives.”

At the function Monday, Aishwarya performed with Shiamak Davar and troupe for nearly an hour showcasing the colours, heritage and popular music of India – to the beat of popular Bollywood numbers.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s intimate scene in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ may be an added advantage of the film but the director chose to edit it as the issue is very sensitive and it may hurt the sentiment of the religious people. Mani is playing safe by dropping the love-making session of Ash who plays a married woman and Abhi a kidnapper.

‘Raavan’ is a modern day adaptation of the great ancient epic, ‘Ramayan’. Here’s showing Ash being kidnapped by Abhi and during their stay, Ash falls for Abhi. Confirming the news an insider said, “There was also a love-making scene between Ash and Abhishek in the script but Mani decided to do away with it after realising the sensitivity of the subject. Even though he may deny it, the fact remains that the film is a modern day adaptation of the epic, with the focus being on the Ravana-Sita chapter.”

The shooting of the film took place in high security as the director did not want any clippings to get leaked in the public.
