Karan Johar’s birthday party was a place of patch ups, first it was SRK and Ash who became friends then it saw the grand reunion of Kareena Kapoor and Ash. Kareena Kapoor, who was in the capital for the International Cricket Council (ICC) news conference, had not been on talking terms with the Bachchans eversince Abhishek’s relationship with Bebo’s Karisma Kapoor ended a few years ago.

Ash and Kareena were reportedly seen laughing, giggling, whispering and behaving like two long-lost friends. Ash and Bebo also hit the dance floor together.

It was reported earlier that Abhishek, who had made his debut with Kareena in Refugee, had refused films with her, prompting the emotional girl to react angrily and defiantly.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali says he always wanted to work with Hrithik Roshan and he’s doing exactly that in his new venture that also stars his favourite actress – Aishwarya Rai. The two have already created wonders together in “Dhoom-2″ and “Jodhaa Akbar”.

“Hrithik and I wanted to work together for a very long time. I’ve always been impressed by his sincerity as an actor. I was waiting for the right opportunity to sign him. Working with Hrithik would be a new and rewarding experience,” Bhansali told IANS.

The director admits that Aishwarya is “special”, after having worked with her in “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” and “Devdas”. “Aishwarya is very special to me. She suits the role in my new film to perfection. When she read the script she was deeply moved,” he said.

Aishwarya Bachchan and hubby Abhishek Bachchan are shooting deep inside the jungles of Kerala for their upcoming movie Ravan. Director Mani Ratnam is making sure that spy cameras do not get Aishwarya’s images without his consent. Ash is being covered with bed sheets and umbrella while moving around in the set. The entire shooting location has been sealed from the outside world and no one other the cast and the crew is allowed to go in.

Aishwarya will be playing the character of Sita based on the mythological epic Ramayan. The movie which is expected to release in the middle of 2009 will also star Tamil actor Vikram and Ravi Kishan. Mani is taking extra care after Aishwarya and Rajinikanth’s images from Shankar’s movie Enthiran – The Robot leaked into the media. For now it seems Aishwarya has to get used to being covered in bed sheets all the time.

Aishwarya Rai talks about Abhishek on her 35th birthday

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai is very excited about the prospect of working with husband Abhishek Bachchan once more.

“It’s a really exciting thought for me and Abhishek to be coming together again with Mani Ratnam. All I can say about the film is that it goes into a completely different theme from ‘Guru’,” Aishwarya, who turned 35 today, told an Indian newspaper.

You can’t expect Mani sir to go into the same space twice. Working with him is an exciting thought for any actor. The way he connects to his actors is very clear in the films that he makes. He creates magic on screen,” she added.

Talking about her last film with Mani and Abhishek, Guru, she says, “It has been a very precious experience on every level, and not just on a personal level. I’d say it was professionally very fulfilling.”

Aishwarya Rai can’t stop gushing about her husband Abhishek Bachchan and says they share a special bond and she identifies a lot with him.

“I admire him for his approach to work. He understands cinema so well that he is not afraid of taking risks. He stands by his family, friends all the time and because of this I identify a lot with him,” Aishwarya told IANS in New Delhi on Saturday.

“I know him for a very long time now. Together we have grown from actors to colleagues to friends and now we share a very special bond. It is definitely a nice feeling,” she added.

Aishwarya, the brand ambassador of Swiss watch brand Longines, was in the national capital to open its exclusive boutique in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon.

Dressed in a one-shoulder lemon dress, the actress was in a chirpy mood.

She will soon be seen in Shankar’s Robot.

Aishwarya Rai will be seen giving ‘Pa’ Amitabh Bachchan company on stage yet again, when both daughter-in-law and Daddy-in-law will groove together for the Live Earth concert to be held in Mumbai this December.

The light eyed beauty has confirmed that she will very much be a part of the ‘Live Earth’ concert planned for the Andheri Sports Complex on December 07 in Mumbai. The show in question is already making headlines, as it will see the ‘Big Daddy’ of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan setting the stage afire along with the likes of Jon Bon Jovi and Shekhar Kapur.

According to reports, the proceeds of the event will go to ‘Light a Billion Lives’ project, which is an initiative to put solar-powered lanterns in people’s homes.

With bahurani’s confirmation pouring in already, one can only jump to an assumption that hubby Abhishek will also be a part of the whole venture. Guess, the Bachchan khandaan is all set to rock Mumbai after US of A!

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s ‘sweet-and-sour’ relationship continues to create news as always. The lovebirds are having a tough time these days with the ghost of Aishwarya (actually, it’s a painting this time!) still refusing to leave the couple alone.

His ladylove Katrina has developed a dislike for a certain painting by Salman that has also something to do with his ex-flame Aishwarya Rai. But the artist refuses to part with his work, and despite the rosy picture of their present love-boudoir, Sallu refuses to get rid of this painting.

Guess, it’s high time that Salman lets go of a certain someone’s memories or else that might affect his present. It is love versus art this time round, or should we call it love versus ex-love?
