Yes, Amrita Rao is finally on Facebook and she tells us why she joined the social networking site. “Although I am a gadget freak and I am very much technology friendly, I never felt the need of being present on social networking sites such as Facebook, Orkut and Twitter until recently. However much to my amusement, I used to receive phone calls from friends and fans who used to tell me shocking things like loved your new status, who is the new man in your life. Finally a very close friend of mine who is fashion designer told me that there was a notorious Amrita D. Rao on Facebook was playing cheap pranks on the social networking site and appeared to be original in nature.

She had apparently added all my close media friends as well as fans. In fact there was a nasty rumour late last year when all my fans and family thought I was to marry a prince who was somehow related to Dr. Vijay Mallya. Strange how the fake Amrita got the entire world to believe this utter piece of rubbish through Facebook.

After getting bored of that same image all over, Amrita Rao is all set to establish a new image. She goes sultry in her new film ‘Shortkut’. Amrita Rao is soon going to join the bikini brigade, Priyanka, Bipasha, Kareena etc and she has no qualm in exposing herself as far as the script demands.

With hordes of side artists, Amrita poses in wet and wild way in ‘Shortkut’. She is happy the way her career is taking shape and feels proud of the roles that she has portrayed so far. Amrita feels proud that audience has accepted her in simple role so far, she said, “I’m very proud of that (simple) image. When I did the Verve cover, people woke up to another side of me. I’d say I was glamorous in Vivah and Main Hoon Na as well, though in an ethnic way”.

Amrita Rao desperately wants to shed her simple-sweet-girl-next door image for a sizzling sexy one. She explored with very ‘Indian’ looks with her roles in Vivah and Welcome To Sajjanpur. Her forthcoming film has her playing a simple city girl.

But in her next film SHORTKUT she will be going fully bold and beautiful. Sexy image would mean she would wear shorter clothes and that she will have a couple of raunchy numbers to dance on and of course a hot love making scene with her love interest in the film.

But I think it’ll take her a very very good role to shed her image… Do you think she should get so desperate?

She has always been blamed for the break ups. First she was blamed Shahid Kapur Kareena’s break up and now the latest buzz is that her close friendship with Harman has strained Priyanka – Harman relationship.

Reportedly Amrita keeps visiting her Victory costar on the sets of What’s Your Rashi? Duo has been hanging out together after the shoot to a café.

It is also believed that Harman sends flowers to Amrita, when both of them are not together. It clearly explains that Harman and Priyanka is no more a couple. Does that mean Amrita’s responsible for the break up?

When asked, Amrita said, “This is just rumour. Harman and I are good friends. I enjoyed working with him as he is very co-operative and talented guy.
