We all know that she was the simple and rather somber girl in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, but Anushka Sharma’s compensating for it in full measure by turning on the heat with her revealing attire in ‘Badmaash Company.’

Close insiders, however, squeal that the Yash Raj Films flick is but a precursor to what follows next.

Reportedly, Anushka has flashed plenty of skin and has gone all out to revv up her sensuality quotient for Nikhil Advani’s ‘Patiala House.’

A close source insists that ‘Patiala House’ is her “hottest film”, as yet.

Anushka Sharma did smooch Shahid for three times in Parmeet Sethi’s flick under YRF but is not elated about it. Who cares? A source said that the kisses are not the brush-of-the-lips type. They are full-on smooches. Reportedly, Anushka shared great chemistry with Shahid when they were shooting for this film in the States. They had gelled very well and seemed to be enjoying each other’s company very much. And nobody blames YRF or Parmeet Sethi if they decided on the three smooches because they wanted to exploit that chemistry and have it translated on screen as well.

As if we didn’t have any thundering chemistries on screen without the kissing plots! But Anushka was not comfortable. Parmeet had to do a lot of cajoling. Finally, he managed to convince her. It’s not easy to be smooch-candid! Isn’t it Anushka? How did Shahid take the whole kisses episode? A source revealed that he had no problem at all. As expected!

Every newcomer sings in their debutant award winning speech that they didn’t have a godfather to be successful (lifting the phrase from Shah Rukh Khan’s initial acceptance speeches after receiving awards). But there is one girl who never ally to this line, the Rab Ne…girl Anushka Sharma. Why you ask? The girl’s under the patronage of the country’s biggest media house Yash Raj Films. Apparently, Aditya Chopra is very keen on giving Anushka’s career the right kick and so keeps a tab on everything she signs and that includes Patiala House too! Great going girl!

Reliable trade sources say that Adi still takes an active interest in his protégée’s career.
Both Tarika Singh, who looks after Anushka’s media relations and endorsement work, and John, who looks after her film interests, have been appointed by Yash Raj. Both these managers are reportedly expected to get the approval of Yash Raj (preferably Adi’s) before they say yes to any film. Grapevine now has it that after her second assignment for Yash Raj, directed by Parmeet Sethi, the Rab Ne… girl will be contractually left with one more film for the banner that introduced her to Bollywood. However, she is free to sign any outside film, like in the case of Patiala House, but Yash Raj must approve the project. YRF as sugar daddy? That’s a deal worth every penny Anushka!

The debutant actress of ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ Anushka Sharma can’t stop gushing about the three-bedroom apartment at Andheri’s Yari Road that she bought recently. While she bought it about a month ago and even moved there, she couldn’t spend too much time at home, because of her having to travel to the US for 40 days for her shooting.

Anushka, who shifted to Mumbai from Bangalore about two years ago, had been living at the army colony in Malad. She had been looking for a house for quite a while and finally settled on this one. This being the first ever house she has bought, she’s naturally very excited about it.

She feels great about being able to buy a house at the age of 21. But she hardly gets to be home and hasn’t had the time to enjoy it yet as she had to go to Bangkok for a month, just a little after her US tour, and is still there.

With IPL round the corner, its time once again for various franchisees to create maximum awareness about their respective teams, and keeping this in mind, Shah Rukh Khan (who owns Kolkata Knight Riders) has come up with the idea of a unique T.V. reality show called ‘ Knights and Angels’.

This much-awaited reality dance show will trace the hunt for 6 spirited and talented girls to lead the Cheer-leaders Squad of the Kolkata Knight Riders. Adding his final stamp of authority, would be judge Sourav Ganguly the inimitable icon of Indian cricket and captain of Kolkata Knight Riders. The show will be hosted by V.J. turned actor Purab Kohli and the pretty Anushka Sharma (who made a stunning debut opposite SRK in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) will be seen as the special celebrity judge in the first episode.
