Deepika Padukone has been in a tizzy ever since Shammi Kapoor asked her out for coffee via Twitter. The actress is very fond of the veteran actor (and vice versa) despite her break-up with actor Ranbir Kapoor (Shammi is Ranbir’s grand uncle).

Talking about it Deepika says, “I was very excited when Shammiji messaged me on Twitter. I didn’t know he had messaged me because I was busy performing for the IPL opening ceremony. After my performance, I was flooded with messages in my BlackBerry Messenger and Twitter about Shammiji tweeting me. Till then, I didn’t even know Shammiji was on the website as his name comes as Shamsher Raj.”

Deepika says she is very excited when Shammi asked her over for coffee. “I remember him as the Paan Parag uncle and in the Yahoo song in Junglee. I have always been a big fan of his. It was really sweet of him to message me. I thanked him immediately.

Actress Kareena Kapoor is known for her size zero as much as her love life and acting prowess. But here is one actor who doesn’t believe in size zero, and she is Deepika Padukone.

Yes, Deepika said that she is not a size zero and doesn’t believe in it. She added that Indian body type doesn’t suit it. She went on to say that it’s nice to be little full and have a nice shape.

Well, we all know that Deepika is blessed to have a wonderful body!

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor was once a couple. They often hanged out together and even shared a sizzling chemistry in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ but their romance was short lived and both split-up. Though personally they are no more together, professionally Deepika Padukone wanted to continue with Ranbir Kapoor and she said that she has no issue working with him as Ranbir is truly professional and has immense talent in acting.

Rubbishing the rumor of not willing to act together again, Deepika said, “Completely untrue. I would love to work with Ranbir. And Ranbir is a professional too. These are mere rumours and shouldn’t be entertained.”

Asking the question as why she has not signed any film opposite him, the OSO actress quips, “Ranbir and I have decided that till such time we aren’t offered a script that inspires us, we won’t work together. I am keen to work with him. So is he. We looked great in BACHNA AE HASEENO.”

Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘close friend’ Katrina Kaif bumped into his ex-flame Deepika Padukone at a shoot recently. Both girls exchanged cold stares before Katrina walked out, with her nose in the air. Needless to say, acknowledging each other was not on their agenda.

It may be recalled that Ranbir Kapoor became really close friends with Katrina Kaif while he was dating Deepika.

Deepika was doing a magazine photo shoot in the open area of Mehboob Studio. A source said that Deepika had come with Farhan Akhtar for her photo shoot. Somewhere around late afternoon, Deepika was giving her solo shots in the garden area of the studio. While Deepika was doing her last minute touch-up, there was pin drop silence and all eyes swivelled to the entrance. It was Katrina Kaif, who had accidentally walked in, thinking it was the venue where she was called for her shoot.”

Daboo Ratnani has been out with his star studded annual calendar for 2010.

Daboo Ratnani’s calendar 2010 stars include Amitabh Bachchan Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Kangna ranaut, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Kajol, Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Sonam Kapoor.

Imran Khan, Genelia D’Souza and Asin were also given pose for the first time to Daboo Ratnani’s calendar.The calendar has only back and white contains. Interestingly, the lanky girl of Bollywood, Deepika Pdaukone, has posed nude for the calendar 2010.

In the calendar, Deepkia’s sofa pose gives the feeling that she is wearing nothing.”I wanted to make her look sensual, but aesthetic.” said Ratnani. Last year Deepika posed in a ‘Sari’ for Daboo Ratnani’s calendar. Well, Deepika is looking hot and sensual in this pose.

However, Ratnani prefers not to comment which star looks the hottest. “They are all my friends and go out of their way to cooperate. For me they all look hot,” added Ratnani.

Deepika Padukone was the recipient recently of Cosmopolitan’s Sexiest Female Award at their Fun, Fearless, Female Awards in Mumbai. She received a diamante-studded statuette in recognition of her honour. Although Deepika began her career as a sexy model, she doesn’t feel, however, that this is the most appropriate route into Bollywood. “I didn’t use this as a platform to enter the film industry,” she explained, “To enter the film industry or any other profession you need to be talented in that particular field.”

Despite the disappointment of Chandni Chowk to China, Deepika has ended the year well with the barnstorming box office bonanza Love Aaj Kal. She is looking forward to the February release of Karthik Calling Karthik, a psychological thriller with the gifted Farhan Akhtar; and April’s Housefull, a fun masala movie with Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta and Jiah Khan.

Meanwhile, sports-mad Deepika has had to postpone the launch of her project to help disadvantaged sportsmen because of her workload. She is determined that when the project starts, she will be there to help sustain it. “Though the project is on the backburner now, the research work will be on as we are looking to start it from 2011,” she said, “Next year is a very busy one for me. So I don’t want to start this project just for the sake of doing it. I will take time to roll out this project. But when it starts, it won’t stop.”

The sizzling beauty Deepika Padukone had got a tattoo done with ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s initials, back when they were dating, on the nape of her neck. She probably regrets it, now that they have broken up after two years of dating. However, she might have regretted getting it done more than before when some reporters asked her some cheeky questions at a recent event.

As Deepika hasn’t spoken about her relationship since she broke up with Ranbir, the journalists caught the opportunity to bombard her with questions about it at the launch of a skin care product. They first asked her what she would do with the RK tattoo that she had. When she didn’t answer, they asked her if the brand would come out with a cream to erase tattoos. She didn’t know what to say to that and simply didn’t answer. They then asked her if she was happy after her break-up. She then shot back saying that of course she was happy- didn’t she look happy?

No more questions were asked after that. As soon as everything was done, Deepika sneaked out of the backstage exit and didn’t interact anymore with the media.
