Katrina Kaif, the sizzling actress and Bollywood’s hot property has refused to play murdered teenager Scarlett Keeling in Prabhakar Shukla’s film titled ‘Rave Party’. Earlier the vivacious gal was much keen to be a part of this flick, but when she got to know that the subject was controversial, decided to eschew. Reports say that Kat has stated that she will not enact in a movie where the subject has no clarity.

Shukla is now onace again on the look out for a girl from UK to play the Scarlett, who was killed on Goa’s beach early last year. The director is also waiting the approval from Scarlett’s mother as he has sent her the script. Once she approves, the things will move on.

Earlier this month Katrina Kaif suffered a nose injury thanks to Ranbir Kapoor’s tight slap. Her face swelled and her shooting had to be cancelled. This time she injured her leg while shooting for another flick De Dhana Dhan.

Unit members report that Katrina was doing an underwater sequence with Akshay Kumar when her foot got tangled under water.

“The more she tried to extricate herself the more her leg got tangled. She tried to scream for help, but because of the noise on the sets including the stunt co-ordinators who were shouting instructions to the entire cast, no one heard Katrina’s screams of pain,” a source told IANS.
“Akshay saw that Katrina was in trouble. He quickly swam to her and got her out of the tangle,” said the source.

While most people seem to believe that there’s a sense of animosity between Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan because of their common link Salman Khan, this could just be another rumour. In fact, it’s quite interesting that while Abhishek and Amitabh are cordial with Salman (who is Aishwarya’s ex-boyfriend), Katrina doesn’t seem to have any hard feelings towards Ash either.

In a recent interview, she even went on to compliment the former Miss World. Recently, as reported by several websites, Katrina was announced the most Googled person in India.

As for beating Aishwarya in the race, Katrina said, “I can’t be compared with her…she’s iconic!” So much for hard feelings.

Katrina has recently turned over a new leaf, signing films with more challenging roles. The trailer of New York, which was just released, looks like it boasts of a promising performance from her.

And what about Salman Khan? Let’s get straight to the point. Are they going to get married? “I’m very young right now,” explains Katrina, “I’m just 24 and very happy with the way things are going. I have been very lucky to have achieved so much. I can only speak for myself but I would say that presently I don’t want things to change for me. I want to stay like this for some more time.”

An unintentional blow from Ranbir Kapoor left Katrina Kaif injured on the sets of a Rajkumar Santoshi film.

It happened last week when Asia’s newly voted sexiest woman was shooting with Bollywood’s new pin-up boy for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani on an elaborate set at Madh Island.

The duo was shooting a chase sequence in which they were followed by some goons. In the scene, Ranbir suddenly turns around to face the bad guys. However, when the actor did so, his hand inadvertently hit Katrina on her face and the delicate actress was left with a bleeding nose.

According to reports, Ranbir immediately apologized to the actress, but she took no offence because she knew the blow wasn’t intended.

However, Katrina was in pain and had to be given first-aid on the sets.

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is to hit theatres this Friday and Yash Raj Films are rumoured to be planning to show the first look trailer of New York, that stars John Abraham and Katrina Kaif.

New York, as the title suggests, is set in New York and is a story about friendships and romance. Living their lives in peace and harmony are three friends but known to them lurks a danger that will threaten the very essence of their friendship.

All will be revealed this coming Friday. What a treat we have in store for us.

Five years in the Bollywood industry and Katrina Kaif has finally arrived as an actress after her wonderful performance in Yuvraaj.

Katrina reveals how she overcame her weakness, her language to conquer Bollywood,she says, “When I started, people were not only writing me off for my strong British accent, there were many others who tried to prevent me from making it till here. They didn’t do so in an aggressive or excessive manner, but they used to say things like ‘I don’t know…’ and ‘I’m not sure…’ that would suggest a not-so-positive approach towards me. But I proved myself ultimately.

She explains, “I always try and push myself to exceed expectations. I use this ideology in a positive way.”

Katrina finally talks about spat between Salman and Shah Rukh

Katrina Kaif has spoken about the fight between her boyfriend Salman Khan and mega-star Shah Rukh Khan.

Talking to an Indian newspaper, the British babe says, “See, whatever happened was between the two of them. I wasn’t involved. Both have come out in the open and spoken about it to the media. But out at the end of the day, they’re senior professionals from the film industry and they have been around much longer than I have.”

Katrina made this statement amidst rumours that she has signed up for a Yash Raj film opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

If Katrina Kaif marries boyfriend Salman Khan, she has to live with his family. But her journey into the Khan family won’t be a catwalk if the latest rumours are to be believed. The news is doing the rounds that Salman’s sister-in-law Malaika Arora Khan is not very fond of Katrina.

It is said that Salman was keen on casting his girlfriend Katrina in his brother Arbaaz Khan’s maiden production venture but Malaika is said to be not convinced. So, Katrina won’t be asked to be part of the film though Salman is playing the lead role in it.

With a few weeks to go before the film hits theaters, Salman Khan has decided to promote the film Yurraaj aggressively.

He did that by joining the Sa Re Ga Ma show. He was accompanied by leading lady Katrina Kaif. They were quite the stage pair on the set of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ for a special ‘Challenge 2009′ show taping!

The celebs mingled with the ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ team, including with guest judge, Himesh Reshammiya. Salman Khan hopped on stage and danced with contestant, Debojit Dutta, accepted a rose on bended knee from Pratibha Singh Baghel, and even asked Yashita Yashpal out on a date!

‘Yuvraj’, starring Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan releases on November 21.
