Actress and reality show star Monica Bedi is happy starring in one reality show after the other, claiming that films failed to give her the recognition she is getting through these shows now.
The 35-year-old actress, who made her comeback into the world of showbiz with the second season of ‘Bigg Boss’ in 2008, went on to star in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ (season 3) after that.
“Reality shows have really been lucky for me. The amount of love and respect I have got due to these few shows, I did not get from the 21 films I did as main lead. I have got much more attention through these 2-3 reality shows,” Monica said.
The actress is currently starring in another reality show ‘Desi Girl’ on Imagine TV which will go on air soon and has plans to star in another. Doesn’t she fear getting typecast as a reality show star? “I don’t think I will be typecast because I am doing other things as well, when that will come into public view I don’t think people will call me a reality show star only.
“Also I don’t mind that tag because the shows have been lucky for me. I am doing one more show after this, which is very exciting, and then there is a movie happening that will probably break the tag,” said Monica.

The dramatic love story continues… Raja and the ‘IT’ couple of the house seem to be enjoying a lazy morning, resting comfortably on the beanbags outside. When Rahul slips away for a while, Raja and Monica begin discussing her relationship with Rahul. Monica states that she refuses to make any commitments before meeting Payal… We must see that! Unedited!
Later Rahul jokingly asks Raja to press his chest so that he can fall off to sleep to which Monica asks him to check how strong Rahul’s heart is! Raja light-heartedly comments that Rahul must have a dozen hearts to which Rahul quickly replies that he has just one and that is for Monica! Awww… how sweet, that would make any girl weak in her knees! If only we believed you!

It seems like the media has been following Monica Bedi’s every move ever since her eviction from reality show Bigg Boss. But the actress is taking cautious steps this time and doing all the right things to get her career back on track. One of those things has been an exclusive photo-shoot for ZoOm. Monica recently posed exclusively for ZoOm in her best attire and make-up and looked happy to be a part of showbiz again. “Yes, I’m back to work after eight long years. I get to face the camera once again, thanks to Bigg Boss. The show has really made a difference in my life,” she said.
Considering the ups and downs she’s gone through and her prolonged absence from the world of entertainment, was she a little rusty and conscious facing the camera again? “I love doing photo-shoots. I get to wear great clothes. I get to learn what suits me and what doesn’t, different camera angles, etc. And that’s very important for me,” Monica said. Well, since she has a lot to thank Bigg Boss for, what would she like to say about the show’s most entertaining inmate? Rahul Mahajan was seen talking to the cameras and expressing his grief at Monica’s eviction. Her comments? “The whole Rahul thing kind of embarrasses me. He’s a little crazy. He’s just naughty and likes to fool around like that. I miss not just him but everyone from the house,” she said.
