The controversy surrounding Kareena’s diatribe against the Kaminey team, blaming them for using Saif and her names for publicity, is getting murkier by the day.

Ask the sultry Priyanka Chopra, film’s leading leady, “Does Kaminey need Kareena Kapoor for its promotion?” and she doesn’t stop at a vehement no.

Recently at a public appearance in Mumbai, the sassy actress took upon herself to settle accounts with Saifeena.

Priyanka Chopra defended the Kaminey team saying “The kind of team Kaminey has, do you think we need anyone else’s help? I think Kaminey doesn’t need anyone besides it’s team. You watch the film and only then you realize how good it is. It’s made under the UTV banner, which is a well-reputed and successful production house. The film has been directed by Vishal Bhardwaj who is one of the most fantastic film makers in Bollywood currently.”

To prove her point she continued further, “Shahid is playing a double role in Kaminey while I am playing the character of a Marathi girl. So with this kind of team, I don’t think we need anyone at all.”

It was a double blow for him. First his debut vehicle Love Story 2050 turned turtle at the box office, then his girlfriend walked out on him. But, says Harman Baweja, neither has the break-up spoilt his friendship with Priyanka Chopra nor has the flop dampened his spirit.

He has teamed up with ex-girlfriend Priyanka in Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Rashee and says personal relationships don’t affect his work.

“It was fabulous working with her earlier. It’s fabulous now. I don’t think personal relationships should affect the quality of my work,” said the actor, whose second film Victory released on Friday.

“Whether we were together or now, I don’t think our work can ever get affected. We’re thorough professionals about this. We’ve been great friends and we still are,” he added.

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have ordered the Salman Khan-starrer Bollywood film God Tussi Great Ho off screens in this Gulf nation following complaints that it violated Islamic teachings.

The National Media Council ordered that the movie, released in India and here on Friday, not be screened in the UAE after receiving scores of complaints from viewers.

The movie also stars Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan, and is considered a remake of the 2003 Hollywood production Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carrey.

In the film, Bachchan plays the role of god as he meets Salman’s character Arun Prajapati who blames god for all his problems.

“Those who saw the movie told the authorities they were shocked to find that Bachchan played the role of ‘god’,” reports said.
