Harman Baweja’s first film with girlfriend Priyanka Chopra did not fared well at the box office but Piggy Chops is least bothered about the fact and set to work out with him again. She will next be seen with Harman in Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Rashee? When asked about her feeling on signing film opposite a failure actor, she defends her beau as, “If actors picked films just because their first film didn’t do well we would all be out of work now. My first film Heroes didn’t do well either nor did Abhishek’s first film Refugee. He has signed Ashutosh Gowarikar film and he knows what he is doing.”

Priyanka will don 12 different looks in her upcoming flick and she is happy that she has been part of some path breaking cinema. “I have always been experimenting on my roles. Perhaps when people will look back in the history of Indian cinema I will be proud to say that I have been a part of path breaking cinema. I have been part of all the special effects cinema like Krissh, Drona and Love Story 2050. One did well and two didn’t well but that does not affect me. I have been working hard each day. I have not taken a single day off. I think its time for me to take that day off now”, she says.

With two back to back hits in a row and three interesting flicks in hand, Priyanka is soaring high.

Priyanka Chopra’s infamous secretary Prakash Jaju who was arrested for threatening her and sending her obscene messages is out on on bail now. After being bailed out he has been sending mails to his media friends defending himself.

Priyanka is the only woman worthy of being called a Goddess, says Richard Branson

When Priyanka Chopra walked the red carpet amongst Hollywood’s elite celebrities, for a gala opening of a Billion Dollar state of the art Hotel in Dubai, little did she know what was to come.

For it was our Priyanka that shone like a bright diamond amongst an array of stars. Not only was her beauty appreciated by the masses in attendance, the awe of her smile melt the heart of a certain Mr. Branson. “You’re the only woman worthy of being called a Goddess. You’re the most beautiful woman in the world,” said businessman Richard Branson to her.

Talking to reporters about this, a much flattered Priyanka said, “Yes, the incident with Branson really happened. He was just being sweet and chivalrous. I didn’t know how to react. I gathered my wits and said a calm ‘Thank you’.

In a conversation with Priyanka, we discovered that the sexy siren of Bollywood is feeling ignored by the star cast of her forthcoming film- Dostana. It seems like John and Abhishek just cannot get enough of each other- not only on-screen but also, off-screen. The blame could be put on none other than Karan Johar who drilled in the characters into their brains to an extent that they actually shared the on-screen chemistry, off-screen too!

Talking of the gay culture in the film, Piggy Chops feels lucky as such an issue is previously seen in her recent film- Fashion, where Madhur Bhandarkar’s focused on the serious side of gays. But, she says that Dostana would be the first full- fledged commercial movie on gay culture.

Deepika Padukone: After pursuing a successful career in modeling, Padukone branched out into acting. She started by starring in the music video for the song Naam Hai Tera from the independent pop album Aap Kaa Surroor by Himesh Reshammiya. In 2006, Padukone made her cinematic debut in the Kannada film, Aishwarya staring opposite actor Upendra. She later made a successful Bollywood debut in 2007 with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan. The film went on to become the biggest hit of the year, both in India and abroad.

Katrina Kaif: At the age of 14, Kaif started modeling for a jewellery campaign in London, and was subsequently discovered by filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a part in his film Boom (2003). She moved to Mumbai and was offered a number of modelling assignments. However, filmmakers were at first hesitant to sign her because of her linguistic shortcomings.

Priyanka Chopra: After winning the Miss World title, Chopra became an actress. She made her debut in the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan alongside Vijay, in which she also sung playback, before moving on to Bollywood. In 2003, her first Bollywood film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy released and won her good reviews. Despite being given a below average status, the film went on to become one of the highest grossing films of that year. Her next film, Andaaz opposite Akshay Kumar was a success, earning her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award.

Mallika Sherwat: Sherawat’s birth name is Reema Lamba; she says that she adopted the screen name of “Mallika”, meaning “empress” to avoid confusion with other actresses named Reema. “Sherawat” is her mother’s maiden name. She has stated that she uses her mother’s maiden name because of all the support her mother has provided for her. She has obtained a degree in Indian philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University.

Kareeena Kapoor: Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India into the Kapoor film family of Punjabi origin, Kapoor is the youngest daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. According to Kapoor, her first name was derived from the book Anna Karenina. She is the granddaughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor and the great granddaughter of Prithviraj Kapoor. Bebo, as she is fondly called, is also the sister of actress Karisma Kapoor and the niece of actor Rishi Kapoor.

Bipasha Basu: Basu was born in New Delhi, India, into a Bengali family. She is the second of three daughters to her parents, the elder being Bidisha, and the younger—Vijayeta. Although she was born in New Delhi, her family later moved to Kolkata. According to her, she had come into modelling and acting quite by accident, because initially she had planned to study medicine.

Priyanka Chopra bonded well with Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas at the Middle East International Film Festival in Dubai and apparently Spanish star Banderas expressed a wish to work with her.

The ongoing festival started on Oct 10 and on the opening night Priyanka first met When Harry Met Sally star Meg Ryan.

At the opening ceremony, Priyanka shared a good two hours with Hollywood’s hot couple Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas.

“What you’ve heard is right. I did spend come time chatting with Antonio and his wife Melanie. We sat together at the opening. Antonio was extremely charming. He was familiar with the Bollywood film industry and the financial leaps it has made in recent years,” said Priyanka.

Banderas spoke to Priyanka about the possibilities of a tie-up, but the actress didn’t comment on this.

When asked if she was going international, Priyanka said: “The language doesn’t matter. It could be Hindi, English or Punjabi, it’s all the same to me.”

Priyanka Chopra expresses her displeasure on the ‘A’ certificate given to her new film ‘Fashion’.

Speaking on the ‘A’ certificate for “Fashion”, Priyanka said, “I am upset about it. I don’t think the film has anything snesational for the censor board to give an ‘A’ certificate. But the censor board’s decision is always respected.”

Speaking further, Priyanka said, “There is nothing sexual int eh film. My be the drug sequences made the censor board to issue the ‘A’ certificate. There is nothing sensational, sexual or bold in the film. If the people think this way, it is complete misconception.”

Clearing the air on her going anorexic, Priyanka replied, “I had green curry and steam rice for lunch. I am extremely Punjabi in my mind. I don’t encourage unhealthy means of losing weight. I don’t like size zero and I don’t consider it as beautiful.”

On the release date of “Fashion” matching with Kareena Kapoor’s “Golmaal Returns, Priyanka said, “The films are going to be speaking for each other. However, I wish Kareena the best.”

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming film Fashion is already generating a lot of curiosity among cinegoers and now with the ‘A’ certificate on it, the buzz has just increased a tad more.

But it seems it is working in the film’s favour. So while Bhandarkar may choose to crib about the certification, the leading lady of the film Priyanka Chopra is unperturbed.

“I respect what the Censor Board has decided. Fashion is a realistic film that scares people so may be that’s why the certificate was given,” Priyanka said nonchalantly.

With her last two films bombing at the box office Priyanka has all her hopes pinned on Fashion. So no wonder then that the film is close to her heart.

“We have worked really hard on the film, worked late nights so hope it works because it is a special film,” Priyanka said.

Kareena’s ex flame, Shahid Kapur seems to have struck a chord with Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra. The tinsel town is abuzz with stories about the increasing proximity between the two stars.

According to reports, Piggy Chops and Shahid Kapur are bonding big time at the sets of director Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Kaminay’.

Shahid has apparently distanced himself from ‘good friend’ and tennis sensation Sania Mirza. It is also believed that Shahid always found Priyanka attractive even while he was dating Kareena Kapoor. Though the two of have never starred opposite each other before, they did shot a steamy photo shoot, when both were fairly new.

Shahid is evidently vulnerable since he broke off with his ex-sweetheart Bebo and it is alleged that Priyanka’s relationship with Harman is on the rocks and headed towards splitsville.

Another source close to Shahid told a news daily that the actor is no longer an item with Sania Mirza. “Shahid and Priyanka have been getting close ever since Shahid distanced himself from Sania a month ago.” Both PC and Shahid are professional, and hassle-free. When they met, they clicked instantly. “

Inside reports suggest Priyanka and Shahid got along like a house on fire and are already spending hours just chatting with each other and have the whole unit talking about them.

If this wasn’t all, the two have also been spotted going out for dinners and movies. Coincidently, the ‘good friends’ stay in the same apartment complex, at Versova, and have also been spotted traveling together to shoots. Oops… it seems the two have been sharing a lot more than filmi gossips. Only time will tell whether this friendship will develop into something more.
