Ranbir Kapoor, one of the brand ambassadors of Pepsi, will play the role of a butler in a new TV commercial for the beverage.

The 27-year-old will be seen wearing a crisp white shirt, a tie and a waistcoat with a funky spiked hairdo for the commercial that will be aired soon.

Ranbir is happy with the commercial, which was shot in a mansion in Los Angeles.

“Shooting was definitely a ‘wow’ experience. I love the way it has turned up right from the script, the sets, the whole look. With Pepsi I have always got a chance to experiment and try new interesting characters. Each commercial brings with it a new excitement,” Ranbir said in a statement.

The starson Ranbir Kapoor won’t have to learn sign language from scratch for his role as a deaf and mute character in Anurag Basu’s film. The actor, who assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Black, spent ample time with Ayesha Kapoor and Rani Mukerji when they were being trained on the sets by a teacher for the physically disabled. He had also visited several institutions for the hearing and speech impaired to research on ‘Black’.

The real challenge now lies in creating a musical score that would amply express the simmering discontent behind Ranbir’s silence in the film. Quite like what Laxmikant-Pyarelal did for Jaya Prada in the 1970s in Sargam, which coincidentally starred Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor. While filmmakers Bhansali and Gulzar have made songless films like Black and respectively about deaf and mute protagonists, Anurag Basu is going the other way with a full-on musical to bring out his deaf and mute hero’s emotions and feelings.

Consequently, music director Pritam Chakraborty is a worried man as he now faces the biggest challenge of his career in friend Anurag Basu’s new film starring Ranbir. Incidentally, the director and composer live in the same building.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor was once a couple. They often hanged out together and even shared a sizzling chemistry in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ but their romance was short lived and both split-up. Though personally they are no more together, professionally Deepika Padukone wanted to continue with Ranbir Kapoor and she said that she has no issue working with him as Ranbir is truly professional and has immense talent in acting.

Rubbishing the rumor of not willing to act together again, Deepika said, “Completely untrue. I would love to work with Ranbir. And Ranbir is a professional too. These are mere rumours and shouldn’t be entertained.”

Asking the question as why she has not signed any film opposite him, the OSO actress quips, “Ranbir and I have decided that till such time we aren’t offered a script that inspires us, we won’t work together. I am keen to work with him. So is he. We looked great in BACHNA AE HASEENO.”

Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra , who are shooting for “Anjaana Anjaani”, are set to meet Rocky-Rambo superstar Sylvester Stallone. In fact, one of the temptations for them to do Sajid Nadiadwala’s “Anjaana Anjaani” was that the producer was a friend of Stallone who featured in his last film “Kambakkht Ishq”.

“Ranbir and Priyanka definitely want to meet him. I’m flying down to Las Vegas to join them on January 27. We’ll be meeting Stallone on the 4th or 5th of February,” Nadiadwala told.

Earlier, Nadiadwala had taken Saif Ali Khan to meet Stallone in Los Angeles. Sajid and his son Subhaan were supposed to meet Stallone during the New Year. But the actor injured his neck and the appointment was cancelled. Now a new date is being worked out.

And Priyanka and Ranbir insist on accompanying their producer for the meeting.

After winning accolades for their remarkable on-screen chemistry, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are all set to come together again in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming venture ‘Rock Star.’
High on the success of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, Ranbir and Katrina have become the hot pair in Bollywood. According to latest Bollywood news, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are all set to revive their jodi in Imtiaz Ali’s much awaited project ‘Rock Star.’

It is believed that ‘Rock Star’ passed through the hands of many B-town rock stars. Incidentally, Imtiaz first offered the film to John Abraham. When things did not materialize, the director offered the same to Saif Ali Khan. However, both Saif and Imtiaz did ‘Love Aaj Kal.’

Meanwhile, during the making of ‘Love Aaj Kal’, Rishi Kapoor was so impressed by the young director that he wanted him to work with Ranbir.

Talking to a news daily, a close source said, “Imtiaz and Ranbir met many times in the past few months and discussed several projects. But it was ‘Rock Star’ that Ranbir liked the best.”

Alot has been said and written about the reason behind Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s split. From Ranbir’s ‘friendship’ with Katrina Kaif, to Ranbir’s charming ways with women, to Deepika’s possessive nature. One more reason which often made headlines is Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor’s so-called dislike of Deepika.

Kareena Kapoor said in an interview that Ranbir is a great actor but there is no chance of casting opposite him as they share a brother-sister relationship.

In a new film to be directed by Imtiaz Ali, at first Kareena was decided opposite Ranbir but later Ashtavinayak Productions dropped the idea considering the relationship that they share. But Bebo was not totally dropped from the film, if not Ranbir, she will be paired opposite another heartthrob of Bollywood Imran Khan.

Kareena once expressed her desire to act with Imran Khan.

While the whole world believes that Katrina is recuperating in London with her family, a reliable London source tells us that she is actually in New York. Incidentally, Ranbir Kapoor is also in New York shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Anjaana Anjaani. Coincidence? We don’t think so.

Post her surgery in Mumbai, Katrina flew off to London claiming to spend New Year’s Eve with her family. Katrina, who ushers in the New Year with her mother and siblings each year, was particularly thrilled about the family reunion this time round, because she was looking forward to playing with her sister’s little son. But apparently, family has been sidelined in favor of some companionship.

One can’t help but wonder how she planned to keep her jaunt to New York a secret. It’s a small, small world after all. When we called her grandmother’s place in London, a relative said, “Oh, but Katrina is in New York.”

Who says all’s not well between the Kapoors and their cousins. The second generations might have some differences but the current generations of the Kapoors admire each others work and are very vocal about it.

Recently, at a promotional event when Kareena was asked to comment on the growing popularity of Ranbir, she said, “Well at last a man from our family is beginning to make his mark after a gap.”

The remark says it all feels our bee, who is been told by industry veterans that when Karishma joined the industry the Kapoors where initially not in favour as things where not well between Karishma’s mom Babita and father Randhir (who still is believed not very happy with his daughters joining the industry as actresses).

The difference resulted in Babita and her two daughters moving out from Randhir and staying alone.

Now with Kareena’s open appreciation for his cousin ‘Ranbir’ it seems the generation next may bring the Kapoors together to pose for a happy family poster.

The chocolate hero is melting a lot these days. The latest heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has locked his lips with Priyanka Chopra in the upcoming movie Anjaana Anjaani. The kissing scene for the Siddharth Anand directed movie was recently shot during the its Bangkok schedule. Although Ranbir and Priyanka are pairing for the first time their on-screen chemistry is amazing. A source on the sets reveals that the two star interacted and partied together before the scene was shot. Both of them also did lot of readings for their romantic scenes.

Siddharth Anand making Ranbir kiss in the movie was quite obvious after the director made him kiss three ladies in their last movie together. Ranbir had locked lips with Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone in Bachna Ae Haseeno. Even though Ranbir and Priyanka have shot one kissing scene another one might be on the cards. The Anjaana Anjaani team will next head to New York for a shoot at the Times Square where a cosy shot is most likely.

The sizzling beauty Deepika Padukone had got a tattoo done with ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s initials, back when they were dating, on the nape of her neck. She probably regrets it, now that they have broken up after two years of dating. However, she might have regretted getting it done more than before when some reporters asked her some cheeky questions at a recent event.

As Deepika hasn’t spoken about her relationship since she broke up with Ranbir, the journalists caught the opportunity to bombard her with questions about it at the launch of a skin care product. They first asked her what she would do with the RK tattoo that she had. When she didn’t answer, they asked her if the brand would come out with a cream to erase tattoos. She didn’t know what to say to that and simply didn’t answer. They then asked her if she was happy after her break-up. She then shot back saying that of course she was happy- didn’t she look happy?

No more questions were asked after that. As soon as everything was done, Deepika sneaked out of the backstage exit and didn’t interact anymore with the media.
