Katrina finally talks about spat between Salman and Shah Rukh

Katrina Kaif has spoken about the fight between her boyfriend Salman Khan and mega-star Shah Rukh Khan.

Talking to an Indian newspaper, the British babe says, “See, whatever happened was between the two of them. I wasn’t involved. Both have come out in the open and spoken about it to the media. But out at the end of the day, they’re senior professionals from the film industry and they have been around much longer than I have.”

Katrina made this statement amidst rumours that she has signed up for a Yash Raj film opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

With a few weeks to go before the film hits theaters, Salman Khan has decided to promote the film Yurraaj aggressively.

He did that by joining the Sa Re Ga Ma show. He was accompanied by leading lady Katrina Kaif. They were quite the stage pair on the set of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ for a special ‘Challenge 2009′ show taping!

The celebs mingled with the ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ team, including with guest judge, Himesh Reshammiya. Salman Khan hopped on stage and danced with contestant, Debojit Dutta, accepted a rose on bended knee from Pratibha Singh Baghel, and even asked Yashita Yashpal out on a date!

Katrina Kaif has refused to be a part of boyfriend Salman Khan’s New Year party, and is rather keen to dance away the eve on stage for her fans at a plush hotel in Mumbai.

Our source has revealed that Kat is still a bit disappointed at what happened at her birthday party, and is presently not in a mood to attend yet another celebration with beau Salman (who is known to create scenes). Instead of attending Sallu’s New Year party, Katrina will be seen performing at the JW Marriott in Mumbai, which will leave her richer by a crore.

It seems that the SRK-Sallu spat has left Katrina a lot wiser than before and she would rather take home gunny bags full of money than be a part of the notorious mudslinging episodes!

Vidya Balan joins Salman and Sanjay for Santoshi’s Lahore flick

Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan are to star in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Who Jamiya Nahin, and the film will be shot – not in Pakistan – but in India.

Santoshi confirms, “Shooting in Lahore seems impractical. Primarily because we may not get the architecture of the partition times any more. So Nitish Roy is building Lahore in Hyderabad for us. Every lane, by-line, the transportation, the electric wires will be recreated. Our set will look more like Lahore than Lahore itself.”

Santoshi continues, “This is my second pre-Independence film after The Legend of Bhagat Singh. And an even bigger challenge because I’ve to combine drama and fiction into history. While we are getting the cast and crew into place my art designer, Nitish Roy and I are doing extensive research on Lahore during the Partition. We want to replicate every detail.”

Vidya Balan will be playing Sanjay Dutt’s wife in the film while young gun Neil Nitin Mukesh has been signed up as the third lead.

“The story of two youngsters who have the time to follow fashion trends, live the good life and waste precious hours too. These youngsters set out on a journey through India and come across different people in different parts of the country who act as an inspiration for them,” says Preity Zinta gravely. That’s what her latest film, Heroes is all about, she says. The film is a multi-starrer with a cast that includes Preity and Salman Khan, Sohail, Khan, Vatsal Seth, Amrita Arora, Mithun Chakraborty, Sunny and Bobby Deol among others.

Apparently, each of these stars has a story of their own in the film, so which story according to Preity is the most interesting? “Salman and mine, of course,” she says smiling mischievously. “It was a lot of fun sitting under trees, plucking mangoes, milking cows and chasing goats,” she says about her shooting experience. She was asked the obvious question on the show and she confessed - (hold your breath) - that she is still single. Well, before jumping from your seats, there is more to come. She tactically replied that as per her, a person is bound to be single until he/she is unmarried!

In her career so far, she has delivered maximum number of hits with Akshay Kumar. As a ‘jodi’ they have been terrific and come with almost cent percent success rate. Katrina speaks about Akshay, his professionalism and his dedication in front of the camera. In a recent interview post Eid to a leading website, SRK revealed that he does not consider Salman as his brother.

When asked wether he considers Salman as his brother, he replied, “No. I have an older sister, Shahnaz Lala, who lives with me. I only work with my colleagues and I love them all but I don’t make them my brother or sister. I have a wife, a sister and two children and they are my life.

My family does not harbour any ill will towards anyone. I love Karan [Johar] and Farah [Khan] and they are such people with whom I can make an emotional investment.”

When quizzed whether he wished Salman a happy Eid, he said, “I wish everyone happy Eid. Wishes are not for an individual but for everyone. “

It is turning out to be a bad year for bad boy with golden heart – Salman Khan. After the infamous spat with Shah Rukh in girlfriend Katrina’s birthday party, Bollywood had been divided into two camps. Salman lost many of his dear ones to bitter rival Shah Rukh.

After she agreed to do ‘Temptation Reloaded’ with SRK, Katrina, not minding the spat between the Khans, has signed a new film with SRK. And if sources are to be believed, she nodded to the YRF venture during Sallu Miya’s absence. Katrina’s final nod to Yash Chopra came on Sept 16 - the day Salman left for his 40 day shoot in Paris and London for Vipul Shah’s ‘London Dreams’. Poor chap!

The Bachchans – Big and Small, are also in the YRF star cast to spice up things further. The film is to be directed by the legendary director himself. Perhaps, this further induced Sallu’s lady love to assert her independence and she was approached by none other than Yash Raj Chopra!

Added to this, there is SRK’s ‘Temptations Reloaded’ tour round the corner. The event will take place in mid-October in Dubai, where Katrina is all set to perform with Shah Rukh, while Salman is away in London.

As Salman’s ‘Dus Ka Dum’ is all setting up to wrap up, it has a lot of guest celebrities in store for its viewers. After Jeetendra and Tushaar Kapoor, Rani Mukherji, Lara Dutta and Rakhi Sawant will be seen sharing the television screen with Salman in the show.

Salman is known to get along very well with his celebrity guests and this was evident with the way Salman was made the studio echoed with laughter and enjoyment as entertained everybody with spotty one-liners. The recent Salman-Shah Rukh spat may have taken the film industry by storm, but Priyanka Chopra, who has worked with both the actors, isn’t ready to take sides.When asked about the incident, the actress predictably tried to be politically correct.

They both are adults. What’s the point in commenting when they are the ones who should be talking about it,” she said.

Priyanka shares screen space with Salman for the third time in one of the latest Friday releases God Tussi Great Ho with the Amitabh Bachchan for company.”I play a journalist who’s very passionate about her channel,andrdquo; she said while talking about her role in the movie.

And shooting for the film seems to have been one big part for Priyanka.

We would drive around and say let’s shoot here, then go for lunches, etc,” she said. God Tussi Great Ho sees Amitabh play god, who transfers his powers to Salman for a week.

With the debacle of Love Story 2050 behind her, Priyanka will be needing some of those powers to make her new film a hit with the masses.
