Last week Karan Johar played the catalyst, making Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor not only acknowledge each other’s presence but actually strike up a conversation, and a pretty warm one at that. The venue for this patch up was Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, Mannat, where King Khan had hosted a celebration for My Name Is Khan. Says a source, “Shahid and Kareena came face to face and everyone thought they would simply ignore each other like they have on so many occasions in the past. But this time, Karan happened to be present right there and instead of marching past each other, they slowed down for a bit. And the rest, as they say, is history.”

Even after the ice was broken, neither Shahid or Kareena seemed in a rush to get back to more comfortable company. They had a pretty warm exchange and a little later even Saif, who was present at the party, joined them.

Pankaj Kapoor is all set to make his directorial debut with “Mausam” with son Shahid in the lead. The father is confident that Shahid`s varied acting skills will surprise everyone. “I know people would be curious to know what we`re making together. That would be a big USP for me. Shahid has great potential. People have always seen him as a chocolate-box hero. But in `Kaminey` we could see another side of him,” Pankaj told reporters.

“Shahid`s USP are his dancing skills and fluent diction. For `Mausam`, I required an actor with range. I`ve a gut feeling my son is going to surprise not just the audience but also me,” he added.

Pankaj says that Shahid wanted to work him.”The idea was to do something meaty and challenging. We should be starting in another two-three months. We`re into pre-production. I`ve written a lot of scripts which I couldn`t direct and could only star in. When Shahid became an actor, he expressed a desire to be directed by me, I thought it`d be wonderful to work with my own son.

Anushka Sharma did smooch Shahid for three times in Parmeet Sethi’s flick under YRF but is not elated about it. Who cares? A source said that the kisses are not the brush-of-the-lips type. They are full-on smooches. Reportedly, Anushka shared great chemistry with Shahid when they were shooting for this film in the States. They had gelled very well and seemed to be enjoying each other’s company very much. And nobody blames YRF or Parmeet Sethi if they decided on the three smooches because they wanted to exploit that chemistry and have it translated on screen as well.

As if we didn’t have any thundering chemistries on screen without the kissing plots! But Anushka was not comfortable. Parmeet had to do a lot of cajoling. Finally, he managed to convince her. It’s not easy to be smooch-candid! Isn’t it Anushka? How did Shahid take the whole kisses episode? A source revealed that he had no problem at all. As expected!

In a recent interview, Vidya Balan has given ample hints that she and Shahid were once dating, however things got sour between them to an extent that they won’t be working together anymore.Check out the interview.

Well, my mom sat me down and told me that I needed to feel good about myself. I think that I was trying to be someone else. I was desperately trying to fit into a certain mould (pauses)

(Looks up at the ceiling) It was not about my weight and clothes. Those caustic comments were coming because I looked unhappy. I was exuding a certain amount of unhappiness.

Its now very clear that Pankaj Kapur is going on a nationwide search for a girl for his son Shahid Kapoor, for his directorial debut Mausam. But he’s hit by a roadblock or should we say son-block? Apparently, Shahid is keen that his father cast Katrina Kaif in the movie. Quite an impression you have made Kat…it seems the whole industry just wants you. You can send your PR stuff on an extended holiday till the time you have actors like Shahid pitching in for you.

A source revealed that after working with A-list actresses such as Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif is the next actress on Shahid’s wishlist. He thinks Katrina is extremely talented and would love to work with her in a film. His father’s movie is a love story and Shasha (Shahid) finds Katrina apt for the role. So why the high drama of going on a massive girl hunt across the nation? Camouflages don’t always work Shahid!

If not for there split, Kareena would have starred in Shahid’s dad’s Pankaj Kapur’s directorial debut,Mausam, ‘coz the role was written for her.

A source says, “Things are fine now but they can’t go back to Kareena saying that they want her to do the film. They are feeling quite awkward about asking her to star opposite Shahid and hence they have decided to launch a nationwide hunt to look for a girl who will be suitable for the film.”

So when Kareena was informed about the same, she said, “If they have a good script and a good role and ask me to do it, I see no reason why I shouldn’t.”

However Pankaj asks, “Who told you this? I am still writing the script. How can I think of casting actors before I have completed my script? I will further talk when we are ready to roll.”

It seems that no lesion learnt yet by US immigration officials after the much hyped ordeal with Bollywood King Khan on August 15.Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is the latest racial victim in US. According to the sources, the ‘Kaminey’ boy spent 90-minutes at New York airport when US Immigration officials questioned his Spotboy Mohammed Manjoor Allam.

Allam is popularly known as Mamu in the film industry and frequently travels with Shahid across the globe. Mamu was questioned as authorities needed clearance over his name.Shahid Kapoor is in the US for a shooting of a untitled film. A unit member said that Mamu was questioned by the officials for more than 90-minutes.

In a great gesture, Shahid sat along with Mamu during interrogation as he was not frequent with the English language.

Shahid Kapoor seems to be horrified with his chocolate boy’s image, though the he has portrayed various characters but the actor is not able to come over his lover boy image courtesy his successes like Vivaah, Kismat Konnection and Jab We Met.

Clarifying this, the actor said, “Even when I heard the storyline of Kaminey and was about to sign it, people started to damp me. Since on paper the movie felt to be unlike the others, I was recommended to carry on with a usual character and do more love stories.”

“People started to feel I was on a wrong path by experimenting. I should have rather sparkled my image as a lover boy. I’m glad I took a firm stand though I sincerely believe that audiences today want a change.”

Although they are no longer together, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor give each other credit for being their support system, while Kareena thanked Shahid when she recieved Filmfare for Jab We Met, now Shahid reveals that Bebo was his support system on Farah’s Chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein.

Talking about dating Bebo he says,“Itna reality check tha mujhe ki she was Raj Kapoor’s grand-daughter, her sister was Karisma Kapoor. I had danced behind Karisma in Dil to Pagal hai. I knew ki yeh tho issue hone wala hai … mujhe itni akal thi.”

When Farah quizzed Shahid – whether his flops had an effect on his relationship, Shahid replied, “Lekin har flop ke baad, aur usmein kuch problem hui …”

The chocolaty actor of Bollywood “Shahid Kapoor” may have confirmed the rumors of getting aside the relationships with the sexy “Kareena Kapoor”. But it is still doubtful whether he is sure of it or not.

At the finals of India’s Got Talent Shahid along with Rani Mukherjee was present to promote their film, “Dil Bole Hadippa”, the actor was found rather hooked to a Kareena commercial on the television.

This was a new ad of a leading telecommunication company Airtel, which features both Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. While the organisers busy explaining to Shahid the rules and the theme of the show the actor was completely focused to the ad being played on a TV monitor in the background.
