Katrina finally talks about spat between Salman and Shah Rukh

Katrina Kaif has spoken about the fight between her boyfriend Salman Khan and mega-star Shah Rukh Khan.

Talking to an Indian newspaper, the British babe says, “See, whatever happened was between the two of them. I wasn’t involved. Both have come out in the open and spoken about it to the media. But out at the end of the day, they’re senior professionals from the film industry and they have been around much longer than I have.”

Katrina made this statement amidst rumours that she has signed up for a Yash Raj film opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

Shahrukh Khan, who has a penchant for acting with debutante, says that he has evolved as an actor after working with newcomers.

“It is always a new feeling working with newcomers. They teach you a lot,” Khan, who is paired against newcomer Anushka Sharma in his forthcoming film ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, said during an interaction with media persons.

“They (newcomers) are not over-awed by the fact that you have done 60 films. They respect you a lot but do their own stuff,” he said.

“I see them responding to expressions in a new way and I get to learn. They help me be a better actor,” he added.

Khan’s tryst with newcomers began in 1993 when he was paired against Suchitra Krishnamurthy in the commercially and critically successful ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’.

In a recent interview post Eid to a leading website, SRK revealed that he does not consider Salman as his brother.

When asked wether he considers Salman as his brother, he replied, “No. I have an older sister, Shahnaz Lala, who lives with me. I only work with my colleagues and I love them all but I don’t make them my brother or sister. I have a wife, a sister and two children and they are my life.

My family does not harbour any ill will towards anyone. I love Karan [Johar] and Farah [Khan] and they are such people with whom I can make an emotional investment.”

When quizzed whether he wished Salman a happy Eid, he said, “I wish everyone happy Eid. Wishes are not for an individual but for everyone. “

Fifteen years ago when Shahrukh Khan was struggling to make it big in Bollywood he agreed to a nude scene with a wild and naked Deepa Sahi in a little known movie called Maya Memsaab . 

The Indian release did get by with several cuts but it’s in the international version that you get to see Deepa’s tits and - if that sort of stuff interests you - glimpses of Shahrukh’s backside.

The movie didn’t make it anywhere on the box office but we’re sure Karan Johar has a copy in his private collection.

The recent Salman-Shah Rukh spat may have taken the film industry by storm, but Priyanka Chopra, who has worked with both the actors, isn’t ready to take sides.When asked about the incident, the actress predictably tried to be politically correct.

They both are adults. What’s the point in commenting when they are the ones who should be talking about it,” she said.

Priyanka shares screen space with Salman for the third time in one of the latest Friday releases God Tussi Great Ho with the Amitabh Bachchan for company.”I play a journalist who’s very passionate about her channel,andrdquo; she said while talking about her role in the movie.

And shooting for the film seems to have been one big part for Priyanka.

We would drive around and say let’s shoot here, then go for lunches, etc,” she said. God Tussi Great Ho sees Amitabh play god, who transfers his powers to Salman for a week.

With the debacle of Love Story 2050 behind her, Priyanka will be needing some of those powers to make her new film a hit with the masses.

Bollywood’s hottest on-screen couple is back after seven years. Kajol has finally agreed to do Karan Johar’s next titled “My Name Is Khan” and feature as Shah Rukh Khan’s wife in the film about an Indian couple living in the US.

The two were last seen as couple in Karan’s 2001 family saga “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”.

When the media reported the news of her being considered for the role in “My Name Is Khan” early last month, the straightforward actress had retorted by saying that without reading the script she would not give consent to work in a movie even made by her husband, leave alone Karan Johar or anybody else.

According to a source close to the production house, soon after that she went on a holiday with her family and there was a lull on “My Name Is Khan” front. Now it is learnt that she has given the green signal to the movie to be directed by Karan.

Though the movie is scheduled to be launched in December, a buzz has already started that Karan has a winner in his. Not only because it has a hit pair heading the cast, but also because the composer trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, has scored some “outstanding” tunes for the movie.

Those who have heard some of the tunes composed with dummy lyrics say that one of the highlights of “My Name Is Khan” will certainly be its music, as it always is in a Karan Johar production.

The launch of “My Name is Khan” has been deferred till December because at present Karan is busy with Dharma Productions’ other movies, including Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham starrer “Dostana”. The film is due for release later this year.

Karan is also planning to launch his erstwhile assistant Ayaan as a full-fledged director. Incidentally, Ayaan is Kajol’s first cousin.

WWE wrester, the great Khali and Shah Rukh Khan met each other at the latter’s place on Saturday night. Khali spent almost two hours in Mannat with SRK and his kids.
Our source reveals, “Before meeting Shah Rukh, Khali met Sachin Tendulkar at the Oberoi hotel and from there he came directly to the superstar’s house at 1.30 am. However when Khali entered the private elevator of Mannat, It stopped working for sometime. The fault was repaired soon though and Khali reached the desired floor of the bungalow.”

Adds the source, “Khali spent quality time with Shah Rukh and his family. Khan’s son Aryan was very keen to meet the wrestler. The kids asked him questions regarding his victories and his diet. They clicked pictures and also took his autograph. After having dinner with the family, he left at 3 in the morning. The meeting was purposely arranged late in the night to avoid media attention and crowd.”

Both Shah Rukh and Sachin invited the WWE champion for their respective IPL matches. It remains to be seen whose invitation Khali will accept.
